This. And also a Limiter Shop. It were giving stars some use outside of scoring.

It's finally out!! Thanks for supporting us, everyone.

This should be a typo. Local multiplayer is still in the game.
Iaspis wrote:Bought it too, for the third time. One quick question, isn't there a type Z ship in this version? I can't see the unlocking progress anywere (IIRC, there was a bar or something in the Steam version).
Type Z should be in the game (I have not heard about it being removed, in any case). It's usually unlocked when you collect 3 million stars.

The only thing that was cut from the GOG version was the online leaderboards, because the boards are hosted on Steam's servers if I'm not mistaken.

Still more complaining despite this game being finally available on GOG...

This thread has countless ridiculous requests. Yotsubane, can you please spend a couple hours of your precious time on making this new feature I just thought of? Make an arrange mode, make it compatible with my obscure computer setup. The game has DRM? Not worth my money! Oh, it's on GOG at last? Where are the goodies owed to me?

If I was in Blackbird's shoes, I would ignore most of the posts here. Sure, it's a great thing for the game publisher to listen to the community, but most demands here are simply unrealistic.

If complaints and suggestions were bad things in the entertainment business, Michael Bay would be out on the street selling pencils.

The more people post in this thread, the more visitors learn about the gog release, the more money Blackbird and Yotsubane make.

Also, Crimzon Clover is a sexist game without any female characters who are strong, but not men-with-tits. Playing videogames is an inherently oppressive activity and all you nerds are ruining the lives of women each virtual credit you spend!

Type-III tells us the (non-existent) story about magical girl who got her head bitten off by some abomination and then being reborn as cyborg before events of the game. (not really) So please don't start on that.

(I really hope this thread won't get derailed more than it already is.)

The Cho Ren Sha-esque tank exploding score screen toy box was the best thing, yes. Terrible taste on the part of whoever removed that charming little scene.

Absolutely agree. The best new shmup I played this year is available for $5, DRM-free and people still complain. SMFH

Sometimes I wish you could respond to user reviews on gog. I'm convinced that Ikaruga guy is trolling me. Not that there was any trolling in my review at all!

Quick question: Derek Yu said on tigsource that Yotsubane is Clover-TAC. Is this true?

Yes - but for some reason it's a "secret", so don't tell anyone.

Saw the Crimzon Clover 50% off at GOG today after going there to see the big winter sale, bought immediately. Means I'll finally get around to playing it!

We're celebrating the launch of Crimzon Clover for GOG with a livestream event on GOG's Twitch channel. 8BitMemories will be hosting the event and I'll be hanging out in chat. The event starts at 2PM EST, so come hang out and play shmups with us!

I cracked today and was about to get the game on Steam, despite my longstanding dislike for the Steam client.

Then I remembered this thread existed, checked back in for updates and and saw CC for $4.99 on GOG. Downloading it now.

Good job on getting this game on GOG. :)

Just wanted to post to say that this is one of my favorite shmups of all time.

So few games live up to the hype, I feel like in some ways, this game exceeds it.

I didnt see a strategy guide in the subforum, if there is one can someone please link here or bump it in there. Thanks

Woohoo! I finally broke into the top ten of the Novice Original boards. 8th place with 1.6 Chou. New PB get! Should I try to complete Arcade mode next?

I remembered to save a twitch highlight this time, too: http://www.twitch.tv/degigames/c/5658998

Damn, I need to keep up with announcements like this more often. I missed out on the 50% early bird sale apparently. I went ahead and paid the full $10 right now anyway because it looks pretty awesome, but saving money is always a good thing, haha.

Just played a round and hit a pretty bad bug. Made it to the end of the last level with no lives left where the little gun thingies come flying up and the boss gate opens.

For some reason there was no music and the gate did not reveal the boss. Once I killed them all, still no boss. And then the background just turned black.

I could still move and shoot but nothing happened.

That's pretty bad. Never heard that one reported though, so it must be pretty rare. If you figure out how to recreate the bug, let me know.

Will do. It never happened to me on the Steam version, which I played quite a bit so far.
Also, in the statistics, where the number of plays is recorded. Do you know what the numbers in the brackets are supposed to be?

I was figuring 1CCs, but I got some and the numbers are still all 0.

I think that's the number of times you've entered Training mode.

Blackbird, is there any chance Degica could produce a PDF manual for Crimzon Clover that contains, for instance, the point values of all enemies, and the other information that is available in Japanese (but of course translated into English). Some other games have nice manuals, like Gundemonium (http://store.steampowered.com/app/92200/). The link to the manual is in the right side bar, at the bottom.

Gryzor87 is doing an arranged soundtrack for CC:WI!

I'm sure that will be amazing, the Hydorah soundtrack is beyond great, I couldn't make it out very well but it says that TAC is a fan of Hydorah right?

Cool, I'm not a big fan of the original soundtrack, tbh.

Ah, GSK let the cat out of the bag =). I was hoping to save this announcement for a more exciting juncture, but it's been spoiled now! We are indeed working with Locomalito's Gryzor87 to make an Arranged Soundtrack for CC:WI. TAC is a fan of Hydorah and recommended Gryzor for the project on that basis. We gave Gryzor a lot of creative freedom to reinvent the soundtrack, so it is quite different from what you might expect. It's well under production now, but it will still be a bit until completion. When it's done, it will be released as optional DLC, and possibly as a standalone album.

Regarding a manual, I might be able to put something like that together. Would you guys really enjoy having something like that?

Well, how many people who downloaded CC:WI managed to track down the Japanese info? Probably the hardcore players on this forum came across it, but anybody else arguably won't say that such info is readily available. Just for purposes of convenience it would be nice to have all relevant info in a PDF.

will the DLC include the whole soundtrack(boss themes and all) or is it just going to be stage BGM like it is now with the original/unlimited themes?
