That plus 10 Soundtracks and 7 Superplays...oh yeah, and there are a few games in there too.
Look again at what I wrote - "I think the main reason people are interested in the DLC disc". I didn't even mention the box set itself. You should take heed of your own advice...

Many people on this forum probably have most if not all the Cave games in this package so it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect that they might only be interested in the DLC disc as it's an easy way of getting at all the updates and DLC without having to get a hacked 360 if/when Live goes down.

On a side note I guess the infants at the start of this thread have finally gotten over their inability to "understand who they're targeting with this release" and all that nonsense. Real simply this is a definitive collection of everything for 360 (minus the 5pb titles) with everything related to them. So in other words it is a true collector's set...wait a minute...Cave Shooting Collection...now do they get it? One has to wonder, reading is fundamental after all...stunning how confusing this was for everyone...Oh yeah, and I'm buying three sets now thanks to the OST inclusion. Skykid can hit me up for one in a couple years when he can afford to move out of his parent's basement. They'll only be going for a couple grand at that point.

Has it been stated anywhere that the on-disc DLC install will not require online activation? You know, to prevent everyone from passing around the disc and getting the DLC free.
Yeah, that might be the case, though it seems unlikely. I also wonder if the patches and DLC on this disc work with the original releases. I suspect that they will.

mdsfx wrote:Some on NeoGAF think this is an Amazon exclusive. Is that the case?!
From what I heard, amazon.co.jp won't ship games overseas. I've bought books/CDs/DVDs from them but not games.
Actually, it depends on which regions that Amazon's multiple store listings are able to send the product to. Some products, including games, can be sent internationally. When you see a listing of each store on the site, they list new and used products, and each price value from each store. Most of the time, Amazon themselves are able to send many games everywhere in the world, but before you make the initial purchase, you have to add the product to your Cart, then go to check out and find out if it's possible or not, by entering your shipping address and then press Continue once before pressing Confirm Purchase to find out.
BulletMagnet wrote:P-A has a preliminary page for it, so they seem to at least plan to carry it. Listings overall do seem scare on the whole, though.
I think there are stores in various countries that will stock the title, but they must source from Amazon JP I believe.
I wonder what that does to PA's price on this (if anything). Ugh, damn you Cave. I own almost all of these games. What makes me want this so badly?! TELL ME!!!

I'd like to know this myself.
Hey guys
Here's a question I have regarding the whole Xbox Live going down in the future issue.
For those who already own the DLC like Guwange, Futari Black Label and other DLC content. Can't we just save the DLC on a portable USB and our profiles on it to be able to access it later in the future? The steps are outlined here on the Xbox Live Page under "Move your profile to another console"
This way if we already have it we wouldn't need to purchase the Collection for the DLC install Disc.
Does anyone know if this method requires an online connection though?
I remember when I use to have my J360 I was able to access my content without an online connection. Wondering if the USB method here could possibly work the same way.
IIRC you have to be online when you use your profile and associated content on a console that isn't the one you originally downloaded the content on, unless you use the migration tool to migrate all your paid-for content to another console. At the moment, I think the migration tool can only be done online. This may change if they ever close Live.
Does anyone know if this method requires an online connection though?
yes, it does. The console's serial number gets embedded in the downloaded file. You can reassign your licenses after your move, but nobody can tell, if you'll be able to this in 20 years.
I hate to say this, but nothing lasts forever. There is probably a point where preserving the digital content wont be possible. I guess you could keep a spare j360 handy for the future to make sure your core games are never obsolete, but Live going down will probably be a game ender for everything else. Maybe there is hope of Cave's library being released on future consoles or PC? I mean we do see rereleases constantly these days...

That is true.... there is always hope for re-releases but I'm sure those releases will all be in digital form.
I'm the kind kind of gamer who likes to have an actual physical copy of the game.

What do you mean, again? Has it ever not been available? It's misspelled in the XBox Live! website, do a search for "Hutari".
Guess I was right...
Sorry I don't know how I missed your post earlier, thank you very much to both of you for responding. That's still is weird that it won't let you access the DLC from within the game's menu though.
I did great so much water and milk that I threw up when I was little.
Considering that this has all of the DLC, a soundtrack collection, and super-play videos, I might as well try and get my hands on this collection. I'm fairly certain if I offload most of my current CAVE 360 collection it will even out fairly well on the price, so it'll just be DOJ, Ketsui, this collection, and SDOJ on my shelf. I prefer compact gold-edition style collections anyway. Though I'll admit if they just sold that DLC disc for thirty or forty bucks I'd take that and call it a day. I could even give my US copies to my buddy, since he really enjoys Deathsmiles. After a few more disc swaps and sales I could get rid of my US 360 altogether. All I'd have is shmups, Ninja Gaiden II, and... Halo. Not a bad combo overall.
Why is it called the Vic Viper/Warp Rattler? Because the Options trail behind it in a serpent-like fashion, and the iconic front fins are designed to invoke the image of a snake's fangs.
With the soundtracks and DVDs it's a bargain. Still many collectors already have all the individual releases. I have no idea how many sets Cave will produce, but I can't imagine that it will be more than 1000. And this would mean that it will be sold out pretty soon and prices rising instead.
Fudoh wrote:I can't imagine that it will be more than 1000.
That means 999 of them will remain sealed. Never to be opened and played.
Screw that. I love collecting Cave items, but when it comes to their games they are to be played or else I give them to someone who will.
If I end up with one of these in my hands I'm tearing it open and having a 16-hour Cave fest in my apartment, blasting soundtracks over superplays as i sweat through 'Galuda 2 runs.
I'm eagerly awaiting my "shipped" email from Amazon, like a kid on Christmas. With all the mystery surrounding this set, I will be very excited to see the final product.
