Hey again! Just wanted to post the video of my 1st 1cc of ESP Ra. De. with Yusuke Sagami over here! :D

ESP Ra. De. (エスプレイド) 1cc - Yusuke Sagami

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, here's some of the other stuff I did some time earlier ago:

Espgaluda 1cc - Tateha

Touhou 14 - Double Dealing Character (東方輝針城) Lunatic 1cc - Reimu Hakurei (A)

-----------------------------------------------------------------

And here's some things in Alternative Sphere I did some time ago that I quite liked! :)

Alternative Sphere Hard Mode 1cc - Hoshimi Twin Sisters (Maiha - Main, Tsubasa - Support)

Alternative Sphere Sequel Stage No Miss 1cc - Hoshimi Twin Sisters (Maiha - Main, Tsubasa - Support)

3rd best score in the world for the Alternative Sphere Sequel Stage with the Hoshimi Twin Sisters, Maiha and Tsubasa! I really quite liked that I No Miss'd the Sequel Stage of Alternative Sphere! I even captured (No Miss, No Bomb) Remi's (Remi is the name of the sequel stage boss, or rather, I call her that. Her full name is Remi ōsu) True Final Attack in this one as well! I was very proud of this one, and still am! :D

-----------------------------------------------------------

And yeah, that's some of the stuff I've done recently! :)
I'm Purple (or VioletHatPurple), the man who'll become King of the Doujin Players! Yes, I am a Touhou/Doujin Game Player!

This is a crazy run. As you know, emulation of Daifukkatsu is not perfect meaning no slowdown.

Yeah, looks like it. I can think of quite a few personal nitpicks and grievances watching the stage/enemy/pattern design, but even being generous and excusing those elements, the bosses having one pattern looks like a borderline deal breaker.

In all fairness, there are also some things that look interesting and cool in there. Definitely looks good enough to get that "good for a first effort" sticker, at least.

Mushihimesama Futari: God Mode (PCB) 5.3bil

My new high score in Futari God Mode. I experimented a bit with capturing off of the PCB this time, I think it turned out OK-ish.

I've got a request: Are there any videos demonstrating multi-loop clears of Tatsujin or Tatsujin-Oh? Doesn't have to be on YouTube, just somewhere publicly viewable.

Don't know about the first Tatsujin, but here are over six hours of Tatsujin Ou (and several other videos on the same channel): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BJCAtvodtg

And since I'm posting here already I would like to share something completely unbelievable: here is a channel that has a loop 9 (!) run of the original arcade Raiden (!). The bullets are essentially invisible, it's insane.

Many thanks, Perikles - I should have thought to check that channel after seeing the Gradius III videos there! I even remember scrolling past that video before while searching for Gradius III replays. Great Raiden vids too, you weren't kidding about the bullets!

There's no way that's legit right? Got to be a TAS.

Nope, it's real. Also, the 9 loop Raiden clear was done on the US version.

I think you two might be talking at cross purposes - pegboy was asking for the Raiden videos I think, not the Tatsujin Ou marathon (which is completely insane in its own right, mind you).

I'm rather sure that the strategies shown in the Raiden run would be applicable, although one has to assertively point out that there is virtually no margin for error whatsoever. You simply cannot dodge bullets this fast, you're constantly moving in highly specific ways as to mislead them. Considering that you'd have to play eight loops before even getting to that point (and bullet speed is blurry in loop 3 already) I can understand pegboy's doubts. Looks "theoretically" sound, though.

Yeah I was talking about the Raiden loop 9 sillyness, not Tatsujin. I don't believe the Raiden stuff is real.

Oh, that's also PCB footage by cat_ood. In the description, he mentions that rank on loop 9 in the US version is equivalent to loop 5 in the Japanese version. Combined with no checkpoints & etc, I can easily see how cat_ood got the run he did.

I vehemently want to enter a caveat against your "easily". US version or not, if you die anywhere starting from loop 2 (outside of the last few seconds before the final boss) you're finished. There is no way to recover after a death regardless of checkpoints. Which means that you have to play almost perfectly for six hours straight (plus the first loop) to be able to clear nine loops. In Tatsujin Ou there is at least a chance to get back on your feet after a mistake, bombs can save you out of several situations and in spite of its high difficulty you're always able to see the bullets and even react to some degree (although you naturally need to route a lot in order to get this far). A high loop of Raiden is almost 100% memorization and if you're off by a few pixels at any given point you're going the way of the dodo.

LOL @ "easily". I still have a big problem believing anyone could sustain that level of play for what, like 6-7 hours to beat 9 loops of Raiden? The second loop of Raiden is extremely hard, I'd say it's even harder than Gradius III's second loop. I don't think most people realize how insane it actually is. At least in Gradius you have a shield and decent move speed.

Yeah, that's what I meant. It's pretty obvious that it's not TAS, but I'm not discounting the difficulty of it either.
