it's just the old strategy of bombing so that you don't have to dodge 2 spawn points at once, which makes the attack somewhat dodgeable

He uses a different pattern to TGA-RET to maximise damage but it's the same basic strat.

It's not a TAS. I was watching the stream where he no missed it. I went to sleep before he did it, but I saw him come close a few times. He can do everything pretty consistently.

Naah its just my Manpuku 2-ALL run recorded with four different soundtracks. From the XBOX Live Leaderboard I see that no-one else has broken into the Manpuku 2nd loop yet, let alone completed it all. The years roll by...

I'm surprised he didn't chain 1-3. His first loop overall was lower-scoring than what I've seen SPS get on a good day. Quality run though (and good video quality, unlike so many other superplay videos!).

This safe spot is known for years. But since you have probably found it out yourself, you are also familiar with the problem: it works only for type B.

How many points did it lose not killing the boss though? Or could you still kill the boss from there?

You cannot kill the boss and lose 500k due to it. This is not a lot though. It's better to save that one bomb for the loop.
