...Now I'm not one to suppose that there's a right and a wrong way to play games, but this guy is definitely playing Mars Matrix wrong. On the plus side you get to see some of the actually interesting bullet patterns in the game that you really don't if you know the fuck you're doing.

Also I think the other TAS on youtube is better. That one full chains stage 6 (though is pretty suboptimal in a lot of the stages, and also I think not chaining stage 6 is better for score, anyway).

I'm not sure if I'll do future ones since most replays seem pretty self-explanatory once you understand how the basics work.

No, that's just my OBS layout, which is what I have to use to record replays because there's no actual replay playback feature.

Here are scoring runs in Blue Wish Resurrection as well as Blue Wish Resurrection Plus in Heaven difficulty using my favourite ship, Hope. They're currently the #1 scores for the shot type/difficulty combo on the scoreboard, but the scores are definitely improvable.

Stumbled on a clear by emuser/resumedposition of Saviors, an obscure Steam shmup. I actually love some of the enemy patterns and boss designs? It looks like it should be garbage, but clearly it presented an interesting challenge. In any case, this showcases some really impressive movement and luck, good watch.

EDIT: This might be more to the point. Why is this game good.

I do okay on the scoring early game, and manage to spawn a missed bomb extend & special extend by the end of Highway stage.
However I lose my nerve on Z city/Grubby and am in absolute panic by the time I hit the Gigantech lab section.
There's some weird DEL inspired 'bomb punching' around 14:03. I've never done anything like that before this run..

Amazing stuff, Emuser! That game looks really nuts, but also pretty good - I'm not sure why I never checked it out before, but I think I'll have to do that sooner or later (probably on Novice mode and not Normal ).

Nice guide, ProjectAKo! Some stuff there I don't think I would have come up with myself, such as the sprite limitation blocking powerups from spawning during the bonus stages.
