So I guess this would be a decent enough place to ask: so I finally got a 1CC of Crimzon Clover Arcade Original, am looking to get it uploaded, but want to get it in 60fps with as little pixelation as possible, while maintaining a not insane filesize. I've messed around with recording in OBS, but it still seems to pixelate quite a bit when things get intense despite my best efforts. Just curious what other folks have done in this regard when it comes to recording PC stuff

Do you have a capture card? Because you could do it that way. I did just checked out the video and it looks good. I might pick it up my self!

This might be the topic to ask some questions, like:

When I tried to use Sony Vegas to render the video to 480+, an ugly artifacting occurred whenever the game was in motion, no matter what FPS I set the game at (I also tried a few different video settings). For anyone who uses Vegas, is there a preferred recording method? I eventually used Handbrake to just chop down the original 21GB (!!!) video into a manageable size, but it's not perfect.

Speaking of which, is there any way to avoid the stupidly-large file sizes for MAME recording?

I don't know where your issue comes from, but I personally use FFmpeg to cut the file size down and render to 720p, and haven't had any issues. And no, I don't think there's a way to record already-compressed video from MAME unless you just take a screen recorder and point it at MAME.

I got the X68K version of Cho Ren Sha working in an emulator last night and was testing streaming that to Twitch, and somehow managed to 2-ALL it. Uploaded to YouTube here. I forgot to fit the window capture to the screen so the bottom's cut off...

I put some annotations on my latest DBAC replay explaning some basics of scoring with Gaiden, since there are some very important details that are very easy to miss (namely, that different shot power levels have different gauge recharge rates). Gaiden ADH videos also seem extremely rare, and I figure that'll be the first route that most players try to tackle.

I'm not sure if I'll do future ones since most replays seem pretty self-explanatory once you understand how the basics work.
