DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVIOURS (STEAM/PS4/Vita)
Re: DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVIOURS (STEAM/PS4/Vita)
It's Enter on keyboard controls. You can also use infinite lives mode (you can choose it after selecting a mode and before selecting a starting zone).

Re: DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVIOURS (STEAM/PS4/Vita)
BTW I expect that this game has replay function, it is very inconveninent that I need to use other record software for improving my scoring
Re: DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVIOURS (STEAM/PS4/Vita)
Anybody know of an email for the production team where I could send a request for a PS Vita game patch to include English or a language selection? Doesn't seem like it would be that hard to add if they've already got one on one of the platforms.
Thanks!
Thanks!

There's James Wragg on Twitter, one of the main members of Pyramid. I told him about the following hilarious typos on darius.jp:boagman wrote:Anybody know of an email for the production team where I could send a request for a PS Vita game patch to include English or a language selection? Thank you! I have just tweeted him my request (I tend to be wordy, so the character limit was a bit of a challenge for me...), and hope to get a response.AxelMill wrote:There's James Wragg on Twitter, one of the main members of Pyramid. Thanks!and they were read and taken care of in a day or two. Try that. If you don't have a Twitter account, I can do it.Spoiler
Thanks again.

Hey, look on the bright side: at least whenever you try the same stage with the same ship you did earlier, the loading time is shorter!Acid King wrote:My kingdom for a quick restart button.

Especially for Chronicle Mode, but
1. I don't expect Pyramid to make any changes to AC mode that deviate strongly from the original DBACEX, aside from virtual cabs
2. lol chronicle mode, as I mentioned some pages back

Ok, so I finally bought this on PS4 a few days ago since it was on sale for $40.
I fire the game up, start with CS mode, and...
Well...I'm not sure if this is some sort of audio bug/glitch or what, but some really traumatic noises began to emanate from my speakers as soon as stage 1 started. I don't know how to accurately describe what I heard. The best analogy I can think of, would be that it sounded as if some demented snuff-enthusiast had replaced the music track with an audio recording of a gay black guy being tortured to death in a chamber full of helium, and this lasted until the stage 1 boss appeared, at which point the audio corrected itself. Thankfully, the audio for the rest of the game seems to be unaffected. But I really hope Degica/Pyramid does something about this audio issue in stage 1 of CS mode, since it really tarnishes the game experience.

There's an easy workaround, just go to the options and turn off the music.
Also you're like two months late to the joke

Re: DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVIOURS (STEAM/PS4/Vita)
I thought about doing this, but it's kind of a pain to mute and then unmute the music every single time. Oh well, at least it's only one stage I guess.Shepardus wrote:There's an easy workaround, just go to the options and turn off the music.

As for the second part of your post, I'm assuming this is both a well-known and widespread issue? Has Degica/Pyramid not said anything about it since? Does the recent PC patch not fix it?

Is the Playstation TV a workaround?
Could I play the DBCS Vita physical game on the Playstation TV....on a TV screen?
Any Japanese compatibility issues?
Do I need a PS Vita as well?

Re: DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVIOURS (STEAM/PS4/Vita)
I would like to know this too. Previous tweaks were just to CS mode, and it would be odd if they changed AC mode now, but the patch notes don't clearly say it's for CS mode only.trap15 wrote:Can we get a confirmation that was a tweak to CS mode only? Or is that across the board?...

I've chopped out all the pointless whining about slow shipping and whatnot into a locked thread.
Elixir, the points were valid but the tone was not. Everyone else, it'd be nice not to shit up a useful thread with stupid arguments. Let's just leave it at that.
Don't make me start handing out warnings.

Shepardus : The changes made to the Assault's Burst do indeed apply to AC mode.

Thanks for cleaning up the thread, Icarus.
Huh, I wasn't expecting that. I wonder if that means that DBCS and DBAC are different now. I assume at least the PC and PS4 versions are.M.Knight wrote:Shepardus : The changes made to the Assault's Burst do indeed apply to AC mode.

Re: DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVIOURS (STEAM/PS4/Vita)
Won't this change bring the console/steam versions into line with the AC version, rather than cause them to diverge? Assault doesn't get a lot of love on here so there's not a lot of cleanup to be done on shmups forum leaderboards.
Re: DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVIOURS (STEAM/PS4/Vita)
Does anyone know how to tell what sort of stage each one is? I'm looking at taking down some of the trophies on this but I don't know what a 'scramble' stage is. Indeed, anyone know which one is best for the 'Rushing into Next Zone' trophy.
Also looking for help figuring out 'Defeat a Castle type boss after destroying all of its parts.'
Sorry, I know this might not be in the high-score chasing/1CC spirit of the forum!

Re: DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVIOURS (STEAM/PS4/Vita)
The patch indeed makes the AC mode close to arcade-perfect, if not arcade-perfect. The Burst now behaves as intended and as in the arcades.
Bluce Ree : Scramble stages are those with a time limit, so there should be a "Best Time" line displayed instead of "High Score" in the mission select HUD when you hover over a Scramble zone. The vast majority of missions are regular missions so if you have just started playing the CS campaign, you may not have encountered one yet. As for the Defense missions, you'll notice a big icon in the HUD with the boss and the number of waves instead of the myriad of hexagons with each stage/boss.
The Castle-related trophy can be obtained by destroying Mirage Castle or Phantom Castle's parts in a specific order as to not trigger the second phase too early. The important thing to remember is that the boss will discard its remaining parts if one side of his armor is too destroyed so you have to balance your damage output.

That said, I got the trophy in CS Mode with the Gaiden ship without even trying and just by spamming my Black Hole Bombs as they can do a lot of damage to all parts. I was probably lucky with the timing, though.

Alas, the DBCS OST has been taken down by Taito, just like my Suite Photowhatever video, a while back. Damn it, I want to listen to this amazing soundtrack, and Freedom (hurr durr, original joke).
Speaking of music, am I the only one who finds Hello 31337 to be...overrated? Some of Tsuchiya's works are much better (Hinder Four, Dream Road, Suite Photothing...), in my humble opinion, as were the older OGR soundtracks (Darius Gaiden...).

Ah okay, that's good to know. Wonder how it became different in the first place.M.Knight wrote:The patch indeed makes the AC mode close to arcade-perfect, if not arcade-perfect. The Burst now behaves as intended and as in the arcades.
I like it and think it goes very well with the fight against Great Thing. Maybe it's a bit overrated, but I think it's more that the other individual tracks in the Dariusburst soundtrack are underappreciated in comparison.AxelMill wrote:Speaking of music, am I the only one who finds Hello 31337 to be...overrated? Re: DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVIOURS (STEAM/PS4/Vita)
Pretty much. I guess Tsuchiya replacing Ogura wasn't well-received. Personally I found the (gigantic) Burst OST to be one of the best soundtracks, in any game. It's just so memorable/catchy, even after having listened to it countless times, music player included.Shepardus wrote:I like it and think it goes very well with the fight against Great Thing. Hey, I no-missed CGL. And that's my second DBAC 1CC, if I recall correctly. Yes, BEI is still not cleared. I think ADI will do.
