Caladrius Blaze to be released on PC on January 12.

Anyone care to remind me what the difference is between Caladrius and Caladrius Blaze?

There's an extra mode with an extra stage and there's also a port of AC included.

Vanilla mode has had a few tweaks to make it a bit easier than the 360 original iirc.

The DLC characters from the original are also on the default roster in Blaze.

I'd say it was a shoo-in as H2 Interactive Co., Ltd. already has Raiden III Digital Edition and Raiden IV: Overkill (and BlazBlue Calamity Trigger) with GOG.

I hope THQ Nordic brings Sine Mora to GOG. And Degica Shmups would be great too on GOG.

Heh, GoG taking a liking to C.B. huh, well, at least those that wont worry with DRM problems, other than that, took a while for C.B. to finally get its steam release, even though it was supposed to be out on a vauge 2016 as mentioned somewhere before, but hey, better late than never.

Yeah, I'm sure GOG is foaming at the mouth to bring their customer base a bunch of lazy ports.

Awesome, I'm significantly more interested in picking this up now. For the fanservice, of course. 8)

I'd honestly be shocked if CAVE manages to port their games to non-Steam PC platforms without completely breaking the high score functionality. I'm still not sure how local high score saving is supposed to work in those.

Degica also published Eschatos and the Triangle Service catalogue, which I haven't seen any criticism regarding port quality.

Eschantos has framerate issues that require you to either take a hit or turn down your graphics. It also doesn't have rebindable keys or options to swap WASD and arrow keys.

Trangle Service games [most of them, XZEAL series especially]: the gamespeed is tied to monitor refresh rate, have 720p max resolutions [iirc] and issues tied to different resolutions, and have enough input lag to be noticeable but not enough to break it, still unacceptable in a shmup.

The 360 versions of all available games are vastly superior and the PC versions offer nothing over them, only presenting a downgraded experience. And we all know by now, the reason why we game on PC is for a superior experience, otherwise, there is no point, at all.

Anything wrong with crimzon clover while you're at it?

I think degica are great and are doing a fab job bringing japanese games to steam. I've only ever had a positive experience with all of the games I've played that they've published and wish people would stop slagging them off at any given opportunity.
It's healthy to criticise but people tend to overreact a bit around here.

Yes.

How is 3 completely broken game modes in 2 releases and 3 ports with largely the same system issues across each a "fab job"? These people are top tier scumbags, selling broken products.

I think "completely broken" is a stretch when the main issues with the Deathsmiles modes and DFK Arrange A were simply a lack of slowdown, which is only a bad thing to the minority who deeply care about arcade (or even Xbox 360, in the case of arrange modes) accuracy (Ketsuipachi is another story, since that had too much slowdown, which is a bad experience to pretty much anyone with any interest in the game). And for what it's worth I've never heard of any issues with CC:WI other than the occasional complaint of the game running at 55fps for someone. That game also managed to get a GOG release, albeit too late to capitalize on initial launch hype. The only issue I personally have had with it is in trying to get it to run in vertical resolution (720x1280) on my second monitor, though pretty much every game I've played has had at least some issue with that. It didn't end world hunger or anything like that, so yes, by some standards it's "broken," but it did everything it was supposed to.

What resolution did the PS4 version render at? Sounds like the PC version of Blaze might be locked at 720p.

Who knows, unless anyone else that has it should know, myself included, but I'm not much of a person that knows render qualities.

Anyways, the game is now up on steam for $25, and $22.50 for launch week discount (and regional equivalent elsewhere).

Does anyone know if the Steam and GOG versions share a common leaderboard, or are they separate?

Is the resolution modifiable through GeDoSaTo or something similar?

If anyone has the GOG version, try and test it out, for reference, I'm already 1st place on the Practice difficulty in Evo mode on the Steam version. If its there, then both versions on PC are the same, and if not, then I guess it is separate.

Well, it doesn't hurt to try.

But yeah, at the moment, there are some glaring issues for the PC port, which can be patched at a later time...
-Screen tearing is present, and yeah, its a little problematic to some.
-Volume sliders don't work correctly.
-Some users are having frequent game crashes upon startup.
-Not much PC customization options like screen resolution settings and keyboard options.

Either way, the game is fine and its best just to use a controller/stick that works wonders for it.

I'm not having any issues with this myself. 100% stable, vsync off by default, uses my monitors max refresh rate (144hz). No input lag and no tearing. Picked up my qanba q4 and even had the buttons configured sensibly.

Yes, the resolution is locked to 720 but we're used to that sort of thing in shmups land. It's no big thing.

I just bought it on Steam. Fullscreen mode looked really messed up, so I just stuck to windowed. Pretty fun game.

Ok I have the GOG version and checked Practice on Evo mode leaderboard, and currently there are NO entries for it (despite there being entries on other LBs). So I guess I can confirm that the GOG LB is SEPARATE from the Steam LB. That uh... That sucks. Lol.

EDIT: forget it, I just discovered by myself. Just 1cc'd the Original Mode.
