If girls torn by napalm drawn by some 5 year old (as my gf states it) and no in-game explanation or tutorial of the scoring system are not flaws in presentation, then I don't know what the fuck is. and this is only small part of the whole mess
I don't play much touhou, however I'm speaking about stuff I do know 100% sure, quit underestimating, I have hundreds to not like this game, and they come from my own experience

- Bullets not coming out from the tip of the ship/options
- Background elements not syncing with background movement
- Incorrect source rects
The only things that looked like they had effort put into them were the model details, animations, the stage 5 background and the lasers.

But who cares, it's all presentation. The source rect issue might be fatal; the rest are buried underneath glorious stars and multipliers.

Then suddenly those follies aren't specific to that series anymore, and your whole, prior argument becomes moot.

Imho, the games are underrated, even, in that many people (fans, neutral people and haters alike) only have grasped a small part of the gameplay (of the series' games), and haven't explored their depth, myself included. Yet, some people think that it's okay to say that a game or series is overrated, based on such limited knowledge.
