Can anyone confirm if there's a tate option as well?

@Klatrymadon

The Full Screen issue: If you have "Change the size of text, apps, and other items" set above 100% it causes it to resize weirdly in full screen.

Now that we've identified the cause, we can work on a solution, until we can patch this, you can change this setting down to 100% to get full screen to work correctly.

Sounds like the same issue as with Cho Ren Sha's new version last week.

This is going to come up again whenever an old Windows shmup is re-released on Windows 10, because they simply were not coded to handle W10's scaling.

surely the scaling is determined by your gpu settings, not windows?

Thanks! Yeah, that has fixed it for now.

(If anyone has ever had a similar issue with FTL, it fixes that, too.)

The toggle between windowed and fullscreen is the only display option I've seen so far. Hopefully it'll be patched in...?

Nah, it's a "high DPI" thing in the OS created to take high resolution monitors into account when running applications created with lower resolutions in mind.

Also, unless I missed it, this lacks SnS EX's art gallery.

So...its just a port of the mobile version? Besides the newly english translation, all its missing is the Gallery and EX versions additions?

Yep. Guess there's still incentive to play the fan translation, lol. We're actually planning on finalizing an installer for it now.

Jaimers said on Twitter that there's "super janky TATE" - don't know exactly what that entails, though.

The menu is quite bare-bones and doesn't have any options regarding tate at all. Hoping Jaimers can say something about how he got it going... :)

Try rotating your windows desktop into portrait mode and then launching the game

Yeah, that works, but it's definitely 'janky'. Slightly cut off at the sides and causes an odd intermittent stuttering (that'll definitely get you killed). :P

I don't care about Tate personally, but that sounds like a half-assed solution.

It works perfectly fine, my toaster runs on Win7 32-bit with 2GB ram and I had no problem running the game at all.

We've got several things currently being fixed (sound bug for instance), and are testing some new options to go in the first update: Resolution Settings, TATE. Don't have a timeline on when exactly it will go live, as we are still testing, but just a heads up that TATE is getting added in.

Will any of the translation errors be fixed?

Very interesting, challenging, and dark title. Glad to hear that it will get a new audience.

Ones that are actually errors, yes. (Not sure if in the first update, checking now, but they will be fixed. Like the selection screen errors).

Well, namely the last screen of the prologue text.

Still, glad to hear it. I've also spotted a few punctuation errors if you like.

Most of the blatant errors are going to be fixed in the first update. We'll continue to tweak smaller errors as we find them/they are reported. If there are any in specific you noticed, please do report it to me so I can get it looked at.

(and yes, we are aware of that one. (last screen of prologue text))

The patch includes much better display options. Appreciate the correspondence/attentiveness on this stuff, Nick - cheers!

I feel that the third boss' dialogue is way too calm. I think it should be more manic and punctuated with exclamations, he's clearly furious.

Found a few typos in Fumiko's campaign, I'll post screens later.

She tells Baumann 'I"m more powerful than you imagine."
(should be 'can imagine')

Also, Shoujo's voice clips don't play while fighting her.

Fumiko campaign errors/typos:

("I'm just following my orders")

(A * instead of a ')

Same here:

Third boss, note the exclamations:

I almost always skip story segments in shmups but Shiki 3 had me do a bunch of credit-feeding casual runs with different character combinations just to read the sometimes hilarous dialogue : Roger and Munchausen crossdressing, Emilio and Hyuuga doing their version of the Gundam Bright-slap, Reika...being Reika, Roger and Kim's prologue with its suggestive sentences, etc.
So, yes.

Whoever did Tsukiko's dub in Shiki 3 is a hero. She goes from serious to whimsical to batshit in a heartbeat.
