Let's keep it on topic, people. PC gaming is a thing and it's not going anywhere. Get used to it. This thread is for the upcoming shmup releases, if you want to discuss about the validity of PC as a gaming system, start a new thread.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

^ Yeah sorry, I shouldn't have carried on since I said that myself. Just having a little giggle with Emphatic...:)

Though probably worth listing any Nesica games that are coming aswell - since these do stand a good chance of potentially getting a PC release given how easy it would be to port?

There has been some unconfirmed mumblings about the Nesica version of CC possibly making its way over, but no official source on that yet I think.

I would not bet on it. And if it comes out at that time you can probably look forward to Ghost Blade 1.5 and Reblade a couple years later.

Nesica version of crimzon clover on steam. I would love that. But yotsubane doesn't seem to be really paying attention to the overseas market.

The Great thing about steam. Is that when people see me playing a shmup on my friends list, they ask about it. And this gives me a chance to spread the holy shmup. May yagawa be with you my brethren.

I think whether CC would come to steam or to anything else is also partly up to Taito.

I think he really does. Even the first version is in full english, and now he might have time and money to do a proper version (if he's up to it) and taking overseas market to consideration while at it is .. well, if we got a new version on PC, I really can't imagine it being anywhere else than steam.

Could be physical again, like the original. But yeah, steam would make sense. Actually if he comes to Stunfest again, we could try and ask him about it :D

I know it's very sad. Cave died just before their games could be ported to ps3. The only cave game to come to ps3 was ketsui. I highly doubt we will be seeing anything news worthy in terms of shmup from cave in the future. They have left their arcade past and headed straight into the belly of the beast. Expect to see non shmup mobile apps from cave, social apps and, and... I must stop here, my eyes are getting teary now.

Also for the OP: Galak-Z is apparently coming to Vita now as well. I'm actually not sure that it's coming to PC, but idk

And Ketsui X only made it to the PS3 because Cave had almost nothing to do with that release. They had previously licensed the game out to 5pb for the 360 version, who handled all porting and publishing duties.

This article shows that he definitely is aware of CC's popularity in the west, I'm going to try and stay optimistic about a possible release sometime in the future.

Have you tried the ketsui ds version? I'd like to get that if it ever comes around cheaply. Like under 60 or so...
