Hello
As of 2014, is there a recommanded device ?
LKV354 seems to be the first (best ?) choice.
Thanks.

Re: YUV to HDMI converter, which one ?
I have about 6 or 7 different converters here with me and only one (the Gefen) passes 480i without any major hickups. On the others I either don't get any picture or I get a field flip (odd and even fields exchanged). It also depends on the target device - TV or processor.
Anyway, for 480p and 576p you can get any converter you like. Some have inputs for analogue audio, others for digital SPDIF, others again for both. All except the Gefen will output in YCbCr. The Gefen will output RGB, but with a terrible shift in luminance (ending up somewhere in between full and limited range RGB).
I usually use the this one http://www.ebay.de/itm/350513775891 . Available under a dozen different brands. Also in silver as a dedicated "Wii" version. But as said, I really don't see any major difference even between the cheapest and the most expensive ones.
