Variety game. One of them is an STG, like Skykid but scrolls from left to right. And there's a vertizontal called Zoliates too.

Maybe I'm just a bit slow, but it's just dawned on me that the developers of this are G.rev, I wondered why we'd heard nothing from them for ages.
Anyway, this was originally slated for January but was pushed back to to the 20th of March.

I hope it does well with G.Rev behind the helm. The DS games were done by indieszero. Indieszero did the NES Remix titles for Wii U.

System-selling software incoming.
Ehh, time to look into those region unlocking hacks, for people who already have a 3DS of the not-Japanese region. Doubt very much this will get a proper translation, though I sure hope they do.
indieszero did great, hope G.Rev does just as well.

There are two STGs in this compilation: the Sky Kid knockoff, and a verizontal game called Zoliates which has a bit of a Compile vibe.
Re: Game Center CX: Sanchome no Arino - 3DS, March 20 2014
Yeah Zoliates is shown is the new PV which was uploaded a few days ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTAurmWv73IGSK wrote:There are two STGs in this compilation: the Sky Kid knockoff, and a verizontal game called Zoliates which has a bit of a Compile vibe.
Looks like there'll be a couple of RPG type games in there as well.

Damn those G-rev bastards are making a really good job. Both shooting games look fantastic, the zelda esque game looks so cool (killing bear time
) and the rpg reminds me of a mixed bag among, Phantasy Star town and world map, Shining Force designed characters and FF combat system.
Can't really wait.

so wing hero has some daft gimmick where blowing in the mic when you get hit saves you from crashing down? - -;
zoliates looks neat

Re: Game Center CX: Sanchome no Arino - 3DS, March 20 2014
Wing Hero is based heavily on Sky Kid, the Famicom port of which Arino has played, and that game has a similar "save the plane from crashing"-mechanic. So having it included does make sense in that regard.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

I missed out on the 2nd one. Hopefully someone will bring this one over.

Indeed, I hope this gets localized. The first one was so much fun!
Also, awesome to see G.Rev getting more work. Kokuga is fun, but it's fairly simple compared to most of their games.

I was live streaming most of what the game has to offer today ( still have a long way to go with Blood of Dragon
)
A full run of Zoliates (the vertical shoot'em up game) is marked at 6h24m05s in this link.

I am glad to see G.REV working on something, even if its a retro compilation.
My brother was showing me the first Game Center game yesterday when I visited him (and showed me the shmup), and it definitely reminded me of a Compile-esque game, or a PC-engine game. It looked pretty decent.
I'm amazed the first GC got localized (by niche publisher XSEED), so I don't know if this one will see fit to come overseas. If it does, my money is on digital.

Doubtful. XSeed passed on the first sequel due to low sales and high piracy rates. Piracy isn't as much of a problem on the 3DS yet, though.EmperorIng wrote:I'm amazed the first GC got localized (by niche publisher XSEED), so I don't know if this one will see fit to come overseas. The game got a touch of negative press but I'm loving it. There is definitely more content in these titles when compared to titles in the previous two games... Each title feels like a complete product across-the-board when many titles in the previous two games felt a little rushed despite excellent core design. Criticism of the gameplay is coming from players who never considered games like Sky Kid or Tower of Druaga to be anything worth playing.
My only complaint is that some of the challenges are above my skill level....but if you fail enough times an NPC will complete the challenge for you.
The archived livestream below should give you an idea of what to expect.

It's already possible to hack the region lock out of a 3DS. It's currently a difficult procedure with the risk of bricking your system, but it will get easier over time.Loris Biaggi wrote:Looks really good!

Progress on hacking the Wii U is supposedly also well underway.

Well in fact not anymore if you get the right tool with the right firmware that has been just released.Pretas wrote:It's already possible to hack the region lock out of a 3DS.
