Differences between US/Japan Soldier blade caravan stages?

I just got Soldier blade on my vita, and I've been playing the caravan stage; I went on youtube to watch some demos, but I noticed that after the red boss ship that shoots out destructible purple orbs, some videos have a section with some popcorn enemies followed by slow homing enemies (which is in my version) while others have two drop ships followed by two of the big black orbs from earlier in the stage. Is there some difference in the caravan stage between the Turbografx version and the PC engine version?

Did you buy this game for Vita, or is it some sort of emulator you've stuck on there?
