To be fair, while it is technically subjective, it is possible to make arguments or explain why you don't like something. I think the job of a critic is to tell people why he does or doesn't like something, that way people who have similar trains of thought/logic/preferences can more understand if it will or won't be their type of thing. Much better at least than "I don't like it because it's dumb."
