The battery just powers the clock, the save games go to FLASH.

the game saves these settings for me just fine, maybe your vmu doesn't have enough memory space left?
So, this problem is with running non-DC sticks through an adapter, and solutions like the PS360+?
that seems to be the case. i tried the same settings with my ascii controller and had no problems at all.

Don't worry about it. You can travel from the Milky Way to Andromeda and back 1500 times before the sun explodes.

Question for you guys who have official DC sticks:

When you use the arcade stick defaults (ABC), what other buttons get functions assigned, and what are their functions?

Alternatively, can someone suggest a DC title that will let me see which button is which on my PS360+? This is the first time I've used this PCB with the DC, it's main use is for the 360.

This should fill your need nicely: http://www.cosmicbreaks.com/arcade/down ... est-DJ.zip

I wonder if it's struggling with remapping because you only have 4 buttons? Just got an e-mail to say my CE has been dispatched, and I use the official DC stick, so I'll see if I have any similar issues.

Well, even though my panel isn't hooked up to the PCB 100%, the inputs do exist on the PS360+, so I don't understand the struggling argument. I'm gonna try the controller test now and see what it'll show me.

Edit:

A= red (A)
B= blue (B)
C= yellow (X)
D= green (Y)

is what I have.

Edit 2:

This setting gives me Slow (A), Bomb (B), Main Shot (C):

Image

So my confusion seems to come from the labelling for arcade stick below, A, B, C, as the C button doesn't even exist on the PAD, but on the stick?

Happens every time for me. With each boss, I think.

Again, they had a multi-page manual not giving us anything useful. They could have had a picture of an arcade stick for example with the buttons labelled as such.

The soundtrack included with the Limited Edition [LE] is "disc-only" (second disc inside of the 2-DVD game case - not even a track listing).

So I imagine some people may want to get a hold of the images found here: Neo XYX Soundtrack Release.

Great, thanks (so that came with the CE? Wish I'd gone for the CE over the LE, but at the time of shaking the coins out my virtual wallet, buying two copies of the game seemed a bit much).

Nope. Maybe one day it will show up on http://www.ngdevdirect.com/index.php?cPath=26_28 (right now they have none of their soundtracks in stock). The CE was a weird package as you got two copies of the same game (the RE and LE). Fortunately the OST was part of the LE rather than being exclusive to the CE.

Would say it seems to freeze, drive head moves, music changes. Is it freezing due to having to change from 1 audio track to another, surely the dc can change from 1 audio track to another without freezing all processes. Maybe it de compresses some data for the boss battles?

Maybe it is badly coded. I have played a lot of games on the DC which change music without stutter, both red book audio and otherwise.

confirming that it stops a few milliseconds before every boss encounter... but no big deal... the ost cd release looks nice. a shame that the ost ain`t that great imho... it`s ok and fits the game but compared to redux or gunlord its a bit disappointing...

I can certainly cope with that brief stalling. I guess its presence suggests a lack of polish (especially if we're all getting it), but it doesn't impact gameplay for me.

What impacts gameplay is it being so bloody hard! I'm such a failure at this game!

There is another game that freezes for a second right before the boss, but as much as I try I can't remember it right now :?

The Saturn port of Gekirindan and the Genesis version of Twin Cobra both do it.

Been stalking the mailbox the latter part of this week awaiting Neo XYX.

The YT play Fagin uploaded yesterday didn't help any either.
Totally has me stoked & looks fucking amazing.

Can't wait for this to arrive & to play some...

CE arrived yesterday. The t-shirt is awesome and nothing like the concept that was originally put up.

If you're not playing tate, you will need to muck about to get the proper aspect ratio. The zoomed in mode is actually stretched horizontally so you'll need to drop the x scale to obtain the proper 3:4 ratio. The game was much easier once I did this (because the ship didn't lunge awkwardly left and right) - my score went up tenfold (then I died horribly in stage 2 because I'd shoved the rank through the roof).

Still getting used to the slow button. I much prefer tap to shoot, hold to slow. But I'll get used to it.

Need to play a few survival credits before focusing on scoring again. Man this game is hard!

Im too drunk to be playing this, seems a lot smoother on disk access than the downloaded version I had (possibly written at too higher speed, no choice with newer drives) game is well worth the money though!

I tried this today with the original DC Arcade stick and can confirm that the button mapping bug is present. I tried to map Shot to Y, Slow to X and Bomb to A. When I started to play pressing Y resulted in the narrow shot with slow movement. Wide shot with fast movement wasn't possible.
Then switched to default button settings and everything worked as it should.

Otherwise I think this game is ace. Could be sold on PCB under the name Tatsujin 3, it's really that good and the lovely graphics put a smile on my face :)

Easily the best game from the jerk squad aka Ngdevteam aka Hucast. To bad it's not really from them :P

How odd. I've been using a DC stick (Agetec), remapping so its X for slow, Y for bomb and Z for main shot; no problems at all. Still, if there's a problem on DC sticks, I take back what I said before about dev testing responsibility.
