If anything, I give them credit for coming up with something original albeit bizarre.

You mean the Japanese haven't already made a game like this before?

Maybe this was made for young boys. When I was young, I would have liked this. But then we didn't have the internet back then, and thrills were more difficult to come by.
I found the pedophiliac themes in Gunbird 1 and 2 more surprising for the simple reason that I thought of those games as innocent cute 'em ups.

I don't know about you, but for my part sex in videogames is of no use to me. Indeed, as a normal guy, I have way too many sexual thoughts in the day, and I would prefer to get my mind off sex when I play games. Maybe that's just me.

I betcha it'd be a hit if it went commercial, the girls had more polys and were not so superdeformed. They should let you take breast shots too whenever the gurls bend over .

Off topic, but...

Once during my tender years, there was this gorgeous girl who bent over right in front of me. She wasn't wearing a bra, so I saw her boobs in all their naked glory. Gosh, I need to be a kid again.

okay so in my freshman year of high school this senior girl, also gorgeous, spills coffee on one of her boobs, through the shirt of course, so what does she do? she whips her boob out and starts licking it.

also completely unrelated to anything, but any one ever play ooga booga for dreamcast, multiplayer game as a bunch of tribal witch doctors? that game rocked.
land mine + pigs = fun.

(mention of Boong-ga Boong-ga, made me think of it)

Creative, but not too outrageous considering it's Japanese. I guess I've just accepted that there's no limits with the Japanese... always forging ever onwards :P Typical western developers re-invent the same thing over and over, but Japanese counterparts seem to mix and match, with unlimited potential. Which, even if they're not necessarily good games, makes them overall more interesting. Reality is still as boring as ever :P

And yeah, in this case, it's just a cross between the fighting genre and the cardcaptor sakura game on dreamcast, with tomoyo and her camera stalking sakura... heh. And I'm sure there've been more photography-based games, just can't remember them.

Fatal Frame 1-3 are three of them. You can dress your girls in fetishy dresses and even panty shoot one of the sisters in FF2. I never got to try it because it's a lot of trouble to do, but I've seen teh vids.

Dating sims, Stagnation Fantasy, and horse racing sims. Please don't compare the worst from western devs against the best from japanese devs.

That said this game doesn't look like it's going to offer too much more than fanservice.

Honestly, i played SFII for Chun-Li upskirts. Let's not even start with Mai Shiranui...

heh I love mai and all her bounciness. It seems to have become an integral part of her character.

Clearly inspired by Irem's PC Engine masterpiece Photograph Boy. :P

There was a sequel on the PS2 as well right?

When fans write angry letters to SNK because they decided to give her a boyfriend (namely Andy), which interfered with their fantasies, then methhinks it's pretty clear that it's the ONLY part of her character. :P Honestly, if they put her in a less kinky outfit and left everything else the same, no one would ever select her.

Rant over. :P

I would be disappointed that SNK would mess with one of their characters for the sake of making a "serious Mai, she's serious....DAMN SERIOUS," but I would still select her. Mai has some pretty good moves and can give any other KOF character a fair fight. Andy is cool too and he's got his hardcore fanbase that remembers him from his Fatal Fury days. So I think those stupid otakus are in the minority when it comes to thinking he doesn't measure up to Mai's dating standards.

Eh, this game looks pretty much normal.

Then again, I think the Pariodus series and Sparkster for the SNES (that musical instrument stage makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE in the game's world) desensitized me to what the Japanese can truly do with their creative freedom.

I'm starting to feel like I should be ashamed for living thus-far such a Japanese-centric life.
