xcapture-1 60fps?

Post by crazylazer526 »

Hi there, i got a micomsoft xcapture-1. When i select the 59.94 option in amarec at any resolution and press record, i always get this message:

Isn't the xcapture-1 compatible with 60fps in amarec? I'm using composite through the SNES and i'm waiting for an RGB-cable so i can use the xsync-1 later on. I installed the latest drivers for the xcapture-1 too. Have any of you xcapture-1 users had any similar problem :?:

Nope, I record 60fps just fine with the XCAPTURE-1. Can you post your device settings in Amarec?

Doesn't the Xcapture-1 capture composite as interlaced video? I think you would want your recording set to 30 fps in that case.

Yeah, the best you're going to get through composite is probably 30 frames per second (60 fields per second).

You can deinterlace the capture file to 60fps in post-production if you want. You might be able to use some kind of filter in Amarec to deinterlace on the fly and do this, but I wouldn't know of any. (Don't use anything but the "Weave" preset in the XCAPTURE's device settings; the others limit you to 30fps and process the video in such a way that true deinterlacing in post becomes impossible.)

OK, let's take a step back real quick. I want to confirm you can even get a signal. What does it do in the VideoKeeper2 application?

OK, just double checking. You'll want to do what Sixfortyfive and jeffsledge mentioned. You'll have to change the format from 59.94 to 29.97 in Amarec.

uh oh, i might have done something wrong. I can only select 29.97 at 720x240p. Earlier i was able to select 29.97 at every resolution. All the other resolutions have 50 and 59.94

Where? In the Graph1 Tab format section in Amarec? You can add a new line with the settings you need.
