Last valentine we ended up fighting, this year we are in different cities, both at our parents house coz of demanding circumstances.
The fuck won't be happening anytime soon, atleast another two weeks. Fuck

Nay. Best day ever if you are single (and male, as I reckon). For all the good meals and getting laid, so so much bullshit attached. None of the good shit comes close to balancing out that one or two V-Days you forgot about.
Yep, I think I'll keep my ~$150, have some scotch and jerk off.

Now we're playing with power. I have a nap and a tenga egg waiting at home for me. Living the dream.

If this is all you equate having a gf with, no wonder you are single. Someone to cook for you and fuck... just wow.
Nah, you vastly misunderstand. I've never had a girlfriend (for long) whom I didn't deeply respect on an emotional and intellectual level. And never had one that cooked for me. (My loss?) But Valentine's day.. fuck. It's a sudden departure from all reason, at least with the girls I've dated. It's the Valentine's ritual with which I take issue. The "good meals" clause is the expectation that I take her out to an even more expensive place than last year, and the sex seems somewhat obligatory from all sides. It can be nice, I guess, but it's all sort of artificial. Pay a shitload of money on flowers, gifts, and restaurant, or else you're a bum as a boyfriend. I generally consider myself something of a romantic, but that's all a bunch of bullshit I'm glad not to have to deal with this year. Forget one V-Day? Might as well shoot me.
I never liked women as partners, too much high maintenace to be worth it. Staying with one person in a serious relationship is a major drag too.
Rejected three people within the last year, casual relations is about as much as I can stand .

I am very happy with my wife. Her cooperation and continued support has made my life much happier. We don't celebrate Valentine's day, but we make efforts to celebrate each other throughout the year.

That's the heart of it yeah.

This can apply to being in a long term relationship just as much as it applies to being single.
^wisdom
VD is only decent for guys in unusually healthy relationships, guys with less stable significant others are infinitely worse off than forever-alones.
