 Actually didn't see that one coming!

Anyway it's once again official: Dreamcast refuses to die! :D

They'll have at least 1 preorder, that's for sure!

That's great news! I saw this game in an arcade a while ago and it looked really fun. I'm sure the DC will be able to handle it nicely.

Whoa! That's GREAT news!

I've played the game before and it's just as exciting as it is weird. ( http://forum.shmups.com/forum/viewtopic ... t=rajirugi )

Now "we be prayin" for Under Defeat on DC, right?

....I can honestly say (and can probably speak for a percentage of the members here) that I didn't see this coming at ALL.

This is just awesome news. On top of that, unlike Chaos Field, the preliminary feedback for this game was/is very positive...

...just remember, Milestone...people actually like to save their high scores.

Can anyone confirm whether or not MileStone has posted this on their website (there's a 12/01 entry for Rajirugi)? I'm at work right now and none of these computers have the Japanese language support installed (so the pages are just coming out as ASCII nonsense).

There's no update about it yet on the milestone website it simply says their is a new diary entry and its some more info and feedback about the arcade version.

There is a magazine scan on http://www.gamefront.de which shows the DC version release.

I doubt it will stay exclusive forever. Chaos Field got ported to Gamecube and soon PS2 too.

Let's just be grateful for a DC port at all and being the first to come out.
Exclusive or not if this would be the last commercial DC game (you can never be sure if it's the last... we're talking Dreamcast here ;)) the omens are that it's a rather good one.

I downloaded some and this game looks really cool! I can't wait to pre-order it. It reminds me of Chaos Field still.

It does looks really happy though!

www.insertcredit.com

A bit more info and a conflicting price point (5800 yen) and date (2/26) to what Gamefront mentions. Apparently the game will have a net ranking like Trizeal. *-neo

I just did my pre-order as well.

So Milestone has some ex-Compile employees? Where can I find info on where some of the other ones went?

Like... where did this guy go?

http://kelesis.free.fr/hp/moo/index_eng.htm

He seems to be the main guy @ what was Compile.

Heh heh, the ol' DC's still refusing to go down quietly...well, assuming the game is good, anyways. ;) In any event, the preview stuff had me interested, I'll be keeping my eyes open...

Sweet, this is awesome news! Another shooter on the good ol' Dreamcast. I've already pre-ordered mine but I sure hope it's better than Chaos Field.

Unbelievable. I hope this does well enough to send a msg to Sega and G.Rev to port their remaining naomi stuff over for a small profit. Ok maybe its not worth the small profit to these guys, but think of all the marketing buzz they would create!

Here's hoping for a 90-99.99999999% port, if not 100%. Unecessary loading times and slowdown are very unfavorable for me.

Either way, this is still good news.

Nice, if it wasn't for those vids, I'd say it looks like butt, but that's just 'cause in the static pics, it looked like crappy pastel sprites, but it is actually cell shaded. I may want this...

I have a relatively long video of it (medicore quality) from the AM Show if anyone wants to see it, although I assume hameko has seen some much better quality ones since it's release.

It's quite funny watching this news spread across all the gaming forums across the vastness of the interweb. By the time I'd seen it here, it was all over about 5 or 6 other forums in like, 30seconds. Looks like Mile-Stone will be having very healthy sales from the responses I've seen.

Got mine on pre-order. Woooo go Dreamcast

Let's see here:

February 2006 we have:

Ibara PS2

Gradius Collection PSP

and Rajuriji for DC.

It does not get much better than that, my shooter friends.

Awesome news, the game started off looking like a cell phone/flash game but the more footage that was released the more I wanted to play it. Manic sword-shmup meets futuristic JGR'esque visuals? I'm in. Dreamcast forever.
