I hope to God that's the case, or else he's nothing but a farmyard animal. And I don't give a fuck if he is mentally ill, it doesn't take much to express a modicum of decency toward fellow human beings. That is so unbelievably low.

A quick google search of the poor guy's username shows that he's a redditor (who has shared insomnia articles over there) and an avid League of Legends player, so yeah, someone who put too much trust on icy and got boned in the ass.

He claimed he was in the states in that post about how people can have their accounts reactivated. He's probably just counting on the fact that no one is going to take the time to talk to the feds about him. I don't think it'd be too hard for them to track him down considering his copious internet usage, his registered domains, and his ability to take payments from people.

That doesn't seem relevant either. Statute of limitations typically begin after the time the event happened, and skipping out of the jurisdiction to prevent legal proceedings is going to stop the process, charges or no.

I actually thought it'd been posted in a previous page. It comes up in the first page of results if you do a search for Icycalm in a search engine. I'm assuming the accusations are accurate, because Icy doesn't seem to have ever said anything about it being made-up/slander, and anytime someone brings it up now (someone did in the gamengai thread) it looks like he conveniently ignores it.

On the contrary. He has justified it before. I won't bother finding the post(s) but whether it did or not he's got no problem taking credit for fucking people out of money. Maybe it was private email. It's been a while but I've had a few exchanges with him. They are generally short though, and he was not a direct asshole. Then again, no audience other than the NSA, so why use that energy?
