I've been messing around with Nintendo's Tetris, and it's missing the best freaking song! Which is the Game Boy theme. From what I understand, it's just called "Music A".
I'm looking for a hack of the Nintendo version that has the Gameboy song added to it. I'm sure someone at RomHacking has had to do something like that. I mean, doesn't anyone else feel like the game is missing "something", without this song?

No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Funny, when people say "the Tetris song", I can only think of Brad Fuller's "Bradinsky" from the superior Atari/Tengen version.

Apparently SEGA, does not wants it's groove back.
I would imagine something simular if SEGA had launched the Dreamcast Two. They could still relaunch the original Dreamcast, by upgrading the GPU of the original system, and with todays technology max it out.
The under belly of the dreamcast is like a GCN under-belly. If Nintendo was able to fail the NDS, and launch the GB3D, then they would have probably kept the original Gameboy Cart shape, and design, which was perfect the way it is.

It's called a book, Gaston. It's called a book.
I, for one, am looking forward to this hypothetical Tetris Infinity on the Dreamcast Mk. II.

Such a simple question....

To actually answer your question, I don't believe it's been done. Swapping music in and out of NES games isn't the simplest task.
Re: Any NES Tetris hacks, that add the Gameboy theme?
Speaking of swapping music out, some early JP copies of Gameboy Tetris also lack that familiar tune and have a different song for music A.
The JP Famicom Tetris has Korobeiniki as the title screen theme, but not during gameplay. The controls are oddly mapped with down to rotate and the buttons for instant drop. It's also based on the early Tetris rules, so it only has one direction for rotation and no non-instant fast drop.
Tetris 2 and Bombliss for the JP Famicom plays like regular Tetris and has better controls, but lacks any Russian music. The music was done by Koichi Sugiyama of Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior fame and sounds similar to music from those games. It also has a second mode with bombs that detonate when lines are made that was later made into its own game, Super Bombliss/Tetris Blast.
