Ha ha, he need weep no longer! I can positively assure him we are absolutely nothing alike.

The send-off of being invited to have my PC hacked and being appraised by a stranger as an anti-social autistic was a spectacular ending to a beautiful slow motion train wreck of a thread, with Edmund in the driving seat.

Viva la shmups farm! :D

I usually love reading those threads where people are going nuts, but when it got to the point where that one guy posted a video reply, i started to feel kinda sad :(

My son started taking some karate lessons. When we bought is first "uniform" (whatever you'd call it), the folks told us how to wash it in their best engrish. We smiled and nodded, thinking we'd just read the tag before we did laundry.

Well, we just did..

It says:

DO HOT DRIP NOT WASH DRY

They intend to pilot it across the Channel, apparently, which I believe succeeded only once to date and was a fluke.

Got sniped/outbid on Swedish eBay for an iPod (ended on 621 sek, my top bid was 620). Did a search and found another same spec iPod with buy-it-now for 500 sek listed 5 minutes after the listing I had bid on ended. :D

Guys at work recalling computer gaming of yore (not everyday topic over there). High points being the "athletic" games (joystick-thrashers) and Custer's Revenge.

I posted on the gamefaqs GBA board about how I accidentally left my two Fire Emblem carts on the plane during a recent trip.
Some random person sent me a PM to tell me they had both carts loose, that they were done with them and offered to post them to me free of charge

:) :D

It doesn't help that it's a friday before a long weekend here, so it's totally dead at work and the day is just crawling by :(

Oh well, out of here in like 3 hours.

So stoked!!

So I order a refurbished HP laptop from Newegg, and it starts to BSOD. I check the memory thinking it was a badly-seated module, and it turns out they loaded it with 4GB total, two and two. The laptop had been sold as having 2GB, so I kept one module when the unit had to be RMA'd. I get a refund because it couldn't be fixed.

I order another refurb, a more humble unit, but advertised as having 4GB total. Upon checking with CPU-Z, I notice one module is PC5300 and the other is 6200. The leftover memory from the returned HP is 5300, and my old Gateway laptop has 2 gigs of 6200-type. A couple of swaps later, each laptop is running 4GB of matched RAM types. :D

Never imagined I would see anything as breathtaking as the Cambodian countryside. On a cross country bus writing this, and after staring out the window for three straight hours, the sun is beginning to set.

It's such an incredible sight, words can't do it justice.

The largest yet EVE Online battle, about US$200k in losses. I would never pay to play Eve, but I gotta admit some of the stuff that unfolds there is absolutely fascinating to read about.

Hey guys, I just read some amazing philosophy on the side of this empty wine bottle: "Get Barefoot and have fun!"
Any reasonable person would take this as an invitation to put "Don't Stop Me Now" on and make a molotov cocktail.

The haiku is not, someting that, shuld be taken, lightly. PC-Engiens were not taken lightly, and now, they are resilient, to what we know as life. The games, as we know it, are gone, and we, are left with, tvs that show "kings edge." Goblins and Ghosts, does not, work good on a plazma tv screen, from the side...
