hi shmups members , my about 14 year old CRT TV just started doing the below...............
if i turn the TV off for 5 mins and then on again it sometimes goes away , other times if i leave that image on there for about 10 mins it just automatically goes back to normal.
anyone know whats happened ? ..........and the million dollar question can it be fixed ?
Bowing; that it comes and goes suggests maybe capacitor problem or perhaps even a bend/crack in solder or pcb somewhere.
Likely it can be fixed, only issue is finding the problem - is likely to be a little difficult to eyeball unless a capacitor is noticeably bulging... tvs also tend to have more boards+caps than your regular arcade monitor chassis.
