Love those Taitotastic intermission texts.
Radioactive wasteland captioning makes Metal Black's first stage seem downright homey. BAT PEOPLE, brrr.

Re: Yukiwo (Master of Weapon)
The text reminds me a lot of Ninjawarriors arcade, Growl, and Darius II arcade.

Anyone else catch that the "fatal blow" is struck on September 11th?

There's a mention of Sept. 11th in the final ver. too, though I can't recall what for. Coincidence? I think not

When it comes to broken yet pricelessly evocative arcade prose, TAITO IS KINGS. Truly inimitable.BrianC wrote:The text reminds me a lot of Ninjawarriors arcade, Growl, and Darius II arcade.

That's definitely a nice find, I think the game isn't bad really - had mine up for sale for ages then played it again and it's no longer available. Just a bit too much grey. So much grey.

Re: Yukiwo (Master of Weapon)
I found out the text is still in the final arcade Master of Weapon, but appears during the arcade attract sequence rather than during gameplay. Video of game showing the text in the beginning.BIL wrote:Love those Taitotastic intermission texts.Radioactive wasteland captioning makes Metal Black's first stage seem downright homey. Still not as funny as Megablast, but maybe the same translator.

Actually, a good chunk of these games have English text in the JP versions.
