Youtube is pissing me off

It's an asshole option thing turned on called Dash Playback.

I see people mentioning video download services. Does anyone know of one that works with Blip?

I used to use Keepvid, but for some reason anytime I keepvid a Blip.tv video these days it gives me a 403 error. And I can't watch Blip normally so this effectively means I can't watch some of my favorite reviewers unless they're also on Youtube (usually with Russian subtitles over half the video).

I think youtube is doing something new to get people to not be able to rip videos or something, because anything posted to youtube after this music video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBMlkYYtLls I've not been able to rip. I'm not sure if it goes back any more time before then, but all the greesemonkey scripts I have for ripping don't work with that video and newer. So yea, if you can rip it, please post how! Anything older than that video I've ripped in any format that youtube has. Yes this pisses me off because I'd like to have the darn music videos for this awesome album.

Keepvid works 90% of the time.

I've found an alternative for the other 10% Icy video has so far been able to rip anything from Youtube or Blip that KeepVid couldn't grab.

It's annoying when it says there's a new message when it's one you've already read, but you can get around that by clicking to another section and to the other new messages section.

Okay, what the heck is up with that overlay bar? I can't see or click on stuff that gets obscured by it, and even some of the links that aren't. Did they hire people from Microsoft or Acclaim?

Why is it that when you click on a video, the page scrolls down a bit so that to get to the search bar, you have to manually scroll up again? Fucking retarded shit.

Is this happening to anyone else? It's driving me insane. I have the same add-ons on my old XP laptop and it doesn't do it. I have disabled the add-ons as well on the new one, and it makes no difference. That stupid overlay scrolls down with the page and obscures the view. Same version of Firefox. The only difference is the OS, which is Win 7 in this case.

Any help is appreciated.

You can disable G+, just do a search, the option should in your youtube and even the Google etc has the option to turn it off. Yahoo ( also known the garbage who sells peoples private information ), has their own version of facebook, but once activated you can't turn it off.

That's the thing. I never added Google Plus to that account. It gives me that annoying bar even when signed out.

Try using no scripts, if your browser supports it. I use a Mozilla ( netscape clone ) browser. Disallow anything from youtube, and slowly unblock them one by one. Uninstall any add-ons that you do not use, you should just remove them. As with bit-coins I use a special claim ticket and or computer to upload things.

Try going to msfn;org, they have people with tons of worries and know abouts with problems like these. They might give you a deeper answer.

Going through comments from the little drop-down bell indicator off the Google homepage is nuts.

Does anybody know if comment downvote notifications are sent out? I see that I get notified of upvotes to comments, and it would be really dumb if Google/YT sent out notifications of downvotes, but you never know.

Seems to have gotten itself fixed. I had to click on my name/av to make a drop down list appear, and that solved the issue with the page size, so it wasn't any add-ons. Thanks for any and all help offered. Youtube, you cray-cray.
