There seem to be some that end in 10CG (not 100CG, I assume that is a typo) on ebay for a fraction of that. And those are ebay. I'd be shocked if this is worth anywhere near that much, probably some original buyer who remembers paying over $1k for it and doesn't realize (or refuses to recognize) how much even pro-grade CRTs have dropped in value over the years. Plus, 17" isn't very big, a lot of the ones more commonly used for gaming are 20"
