Life Force (NES) just hit VC for 3DS

4.99 USD for the NES version of Life Force on the eshop.
Not sure why Konami just doesn't do the arcade versions.
It joins Konami's other shmups twinbee Gradius, and Hudson's Star Soldier.
There was a time Konami meant more than metal gear...

Probably because the arcade version of Salamander/Life Force is pretty damn brutal. It's a lot harder than Salamander 2.

Life Force NES isn't nearly as difficult by comparison (in part thanks to all the extra lives you can grab, there's a bunch hidden in levels).

Every Konami shooter other than Salamander 2 is harder than Salamander 2.

Salamander/Life Force AC is pretty brutal though.

Life Force NES was actually my first video game ever though, so BRB getting this.

Always glad to see shmups coming to the VC. I'm still in awe that somehow Recca was released last year on the 3DS.
