So, European Speedster Assembly is a thing. Specifically, it's a speedrunning marathon taking place in Skövde, Sweden, and it's happening for the third time this year. And this year, it's (probably) running two streams and is thus looking to feature some non-speedrunning high-skill play as well.
Such as shmups!
So if you're a SUPER PLAYER, want to visit Beautiful Sweden™, and think you're good enough to perform impressively playing live, then reserve the dates July 27th - August 3rd. And then, visit this topic and post the information about the game/s you want to show off.
You can, if you want to, of course just attend as a viewer and hang out with the best community of people I've ever been part of, shoot the shit and play various fun games in the practice room. Seriously, speedrunners are a great bunch.
(posted this in shmups chat since it was primarily to look for people who might want to come by and show off shmup skills, but maybe it should be in Off Topic. idk.)

My 1CCs so I can find the list easier myself
<Despatche> you've been a thorn in the shmups community since the beginning, you're largely responsible for the horrible face of modern speedrunning

This sounds awesome. I'll probably sign up.
Battle Garegga would be my first choice, but I don't think that it looks any impressive when you don't know what's going on there.

If you went, I think you should wear a towel, PCB and socks.Plasmo wrote:This sounds awesome. I'll probably sign up.

But yeah, it's probably a good idea to get a commentator to explain the game's details.
