I don't know what was different this time, but this time I just blew threw the game, beating my previous score by 7 million and finally besting Ohtrigen (regrettably I still lost 3 ships to it) to go on to the end.

Regrettably, in my excitement I forgot the last dog at the Stone Like =(

While Ive already 1CCed Mushi Futari on Novice Ultra, I actually NO MISS cleared it today just a bit ago. Palms were sweaty as hell during Larsa's final attacks ( The DOOM like spreads ).

Just cleared Ibara as Dyne! Live, during a twitch broadcast! And a new personal best to boot!

Can't believe that I managed to get the Dyne clear already, damn. Feels fantastic. That's one of my goals for 2014 already accomplished, and the year's barely even started.

MY FIRST LETTER EVER!!!! Played it really safe and probably could have cleared it but I was just shy of taking out Theresa's last form. I'll go for the Letter-clear after a much needed break from this game (which I've already cleared over 10 times).

I fucking hate Ibara and any Raizing game with a passion. Its damn near impossible for a casual player like myself to score this high without some tibetian monk level grinding. And thats if you have a PC to make the fucking games work right on PC.

* inhales, exhales * But Grats. If only I had someone personally demonstrate how to score high with explanations for said spot, I'd get a clue.

Softdrink helped me a lot on my quest for the +10 million score. I had already created my own routes through the game but was stuck between 8-9 million points until I watched him stream playing live. He was able to answer my questions and give me advice to squeak out that extra little bit I needed. Thanks Softy!

btw, the score was done on a PCB, so no save-state grinding or credit feeding practice what so ever.

I'll repeat my earlier question: Have you watched the Ibara STG Weekly episode? We don't cover low-rank play so much, but there is a LOT of information in that episode that touches on virtually every aspect of the game.

I checked out the ibara stg weekly episode.I found it very helpful,cheers softdrink! I've been mostly playing the ps 2 arrange,which is a bit easier,I'm still wildly inconsistent at it though! I love the game,just wish I was better at it! I understand the game,just keep dropping the medal chain!

Just saw this. Glad you enjoyed the episode! I personally haven't played the PS2 arrange mode much, but I've heard it's pretty fun. Have been meaning to give it a try. I also need to try Ibara Kuro again sometime.

Medal consistency is hard. I still drop the chain in many of my runs, sometimes in really terrible spots. But I'm getting much more consistent, and I'm starting to get to the point where I can fully medal the entire game. Of course, now I'm trying to teach myself some higher level scoring tricks... Really, one of the things that I love about the game is that I never feel like I fully understand it. There's always something to improve on, or something new to learn, or a better way to optimize my current strategies.

It took me a long time to love ibara in any of it's versions.Now I understand more it is fun but still can be really frustrating! Here's an example of my inconsistency...I can either make stage 5 with low rank,due to medal drops or can't make stage 3 or 4 with max value medals! It's all over the place.
