CVS2 has been gaining several percentage points per day. The fighting game community as a whole seems to have abandoned the other fighting games and are putting all of their votes towards CVS2 while we are still splitting the shmup votes between two games.

This keeps up, neither of the shmups are going to win the poll.
That being said, what good fighting game on this list could and hasn't been ported to the current gen ssystems? (Even if this poll prolly isn't about that..) Well yeah, CvS2 is way above else, at least to me. (I now it's on PSN, with input lag and no network mode.)

Also it's entirely possible someone posted about this poll on 2ch/4ch or some big FGC site or forum. (IPW/EH/SRK etc)

For shumps it's different and always have been.

(I discovered this poll a few days ago on twitter, been voting for Progear ever since)

Well, it's the last day, and Progear is back in first place. No idea what this even means, but... well, I won't be sad if they put quality remakes of the top-3 finishers onto a retail "arcade remasters" sort of package. Of course, coming up with ideas like that is setting myself up for disappointment.

Well atleast capcom got the message that ppl want Progear & 19xx for what its worth.

Wishfully thinking on my part would be that they rehire M2 to do CAPCOM Arcade Cabinet vol 2. that inc. CPS-2 games.

Oh man, so voting is over and progear and 19XX each split 26%, though it does look like Progear is in first place!
Craziness, I can't wait to find out what this is going to be. As emphatic pointed out it's likely a mobile game, still, I'd be shocked to see progear on any platform. XLBA would of course be the realistic best case scenario, not sure how realistic it is though.. are people still releasing stuff on 360 now that XB1 is out?

Thanks again to Elixir for making me aware of the poll in the first place.

I can't believe it won. Obviously I'm happy about it but before the poll started I would have guessed it didn't have a chance in hell. I would say it's the sleeper hit of arcade games. It didn't do well when it came out (I recall Cave saying the release was a great disappointment) but then emulation... It's like a movie that bombed at the box office and then killed it on DVD from word of mouth. I wonder what Cave will think when they find out it beat out every Capcom arcade game of all time in a poll.

Well done, everyone. I'd like to think my re-tweets helped a little bit at least!

I don't know how the first one did, but this sounds like the best possible/feasible scenario, yes.
