I thought it was just called "Best of Shmups Forum" or something but I can't find it.

That's the thread that should be stickied, not the other one. Interesting to see how moderation has changed over the years since the 'sick fuck' thread probably wouldn't make it too far today before getting shut down.

And as the years went, TFPFANITSU became a mere shadow of its former self. The arcade cabinets still played their rusted PCBs and a lonely CRT stayed lit in a corner, its light illuminating the glorious wooden plaque with the words engraved "English Speakers Only," as it hung on to dear life by a single nail on a now bare wall, once covered with awards and medals for the CPS2 CHANGER work JAPJAC worked so hard on. JAPJAC had used his last credit, but his score will always be remembered.

Ah, such fond memories.

It seems like I was heavily involved in some of the forum's best threads. Though honestly, I don't think they were *that* awesome. I think I've been spoiled by other forums. The relative strictness of the moderation here probably prevents "truly amazing" threads from sprouting up, which is both a good and bad thing.

The best was when he flipped when dcharlie brought up the "Yu Suzuki is my uncle" or something or other. He was legitimately offended -- only time I've ever seen it. God bless the man... he's consistent for the most part, I'll give him that.
