Model numbers of top of the range consumer TV's in the UK

Hi, I'm trying to work out which are the higher end models of the better quality consumer CRT TV's that are readily available in the UK (25-29 inches).

I'm looking for Grundigs, Philips & Toshiba - during the last couple of years before they went to 100Hz. I've ruled out Sony & Bang & Olufsen. I prefer the look of the black models, before they all went silver.

Apparently there was a big difference between the higher & lower end models from these Manufacturers. Ideally they would be from the mid 90's onwards - as late as possible before 100Hz came in. I have a feeling that perhaps higher end models went over to 100Hz sooner than the lower end ones.

Does anyone have any ideas or model lists of specifically higher end models of these TV's of this era?

To update on this, the vast majority of 4:3 50/60Hz TV's in the UK (at least the ones available on eBay and at recycling centres) apart from B&O (not my thing) and Sonys seem to be middle of the road models. It seems to be quite rare to come across a higher-end Grundig, philips or Toshiba etc and impossible to find Loewe, Metz etc. Great if you're into Sonys or B&O's but if you're not, it looks like we drew the short straw for selection here

Toshiba, JVC and Panasonic all made professional models, so maybe the higher end consumer models would be good.

Your right - it's just that these seem to be very uncommon here..

I think it's about time I followed suit

I had serious OCD with PC CRTs in the 90s, to the point I returned three monitors before I found one with really good geometry. When it was time to upgrade to a 17" (that was huge in '94!) I didn't want to lug a less than perfect tube back to the store, so I just got over it. That decision has probably saved me hundreds of hours of hand wringing since. At some point you have to start playing and enjoying your collection.

Words to live by, 30 seconds into whatever I'm playing I'll forget about geometry and all that stuff. A nice telly is nice, but not worth obsessing over too much.
