Scene Report - Game Legend - Nov. 10th, 2013

Went to the Game Legend doujin event yesterday. This is my 4th time attending, as they are held twice a year and they just keep getting better! This time there was so much to buy and look at! I noticed that more and more people are bringing PCBs and game systems for attendees to play these days, whereas it used to be more rare in the past. One group even had a full-sized Star Wars arcade cockpit setup for people to play. I was mainly there to pick up superplay discs, arcade related stuff, and STG related manga and books. Anyhow, I snapped a few shitty pics:

I bought a 5-disc doujin-produced TV show about arcades in Japan. Fascinating stuff!




Playing tunes, and selling some of his self-produced CDs:

INH was out in Full effect! Picked up a dozen or so Mikado superplay DVDs.




Homebrew handheld systems. The two ABOVE the Gamegear. Had a game that looked like Cotton on it.



All in all, it was a great show. FREE entrance, and so much to see and do. Unfortunately I was with a 3-year old, and even though he says he had fun he was ready to leave after about an hour. I didnt really have a chance to take part in some of the non-marketplace events being held. Was supposed to meet up with Shou there, but I think we just missed each other.

Whoa, do you remember how much those Golgo and Athena perlers were? I've been wanting to make a big piece lately. Now I feel inspired! Nice to see some different stuff, especially that Valkyrie on the table. I'm used to seeing countless Mega Mans, which I can't really complain about.

I second that. Rancor, was it exclusive for the event ? Maybe there's a contact adress on the set and you can in touch with the seller to get some more ? Monouchi and me are certainly not the only ones to be interested in it. How much was it ?

Are there any arcades with candy cabs featured in the show or only dedicated cabinets/pinballs (judging by the pic).
How much was this 5-disc set?

I remember seeing that guy on the screenshots in some youtube videos.
They are mostly visiting some private cab collectors or go to the states to visit pinball conventions/tournaments.
