Whoop-dee-doo. On a related note, when did a DDOS become hacking?

I have no idea. I think that some of the members of Anonymous have just gone insane and do this for fun.

Even if DDOS'ing isn't really hacking, it's still interesting to see just how vulnerable the internet really is. They'll probably all end up in jail like lulzsec though.

On a related note, a map of all the ddos attacks going on in the world at any given point. I've never seen this before, and it's pretty interesting. America currently taking a pounding from multiple unknown sources.

I hate hackers with a passion. Weak bodies cowards afraid of the light because they know most people have a fist to dent their faces in with.

I don't understand, the stuff that anonymous usually does is pretty far from script kiddies.
Using existing programs, the famed LOIC, and existing botnets to attack websites to temporarily knock them out while spouting nonsense like "We are Legion." pretty much qualifies in my book.

Oooh, ahhh, they took the FBI website down, and the MPAA, and the RIAA. Oh, wait, it accomplished absolutely nothing and affected no one save for a miniscule amount of people looking for public information on those sites. Finding and exploiting flaws in websites to gain info (Westboro Baptist Church) is one thing, but when your modus operandi is to simply overwhelm an unimportant facet of a business you're just masturbating while pretending to make a difference.

Want to have fun and knock websites out? Have at it. Make more money for Cloudflare, etc. and let sysadmins beef up their security. Just don't get all righteous and think you actually did something useful.

Stratfor, however...
