If I may derail...

For awhile, I didn't understand this thinking. I had tried to play X-Multiply and R-Type with a Tekken 5 anniversary stick I bought from a user on Digitpress, and at first it just felt awkward. I immediately went back to using a pad.

But then, after having my ass handed to me by Zangief, I decided to use it on the arcade version of 1943...

... and for some reason, it just clicked with me, and I was enjoying the game more than I ever had before.

So yes, sticks are the only way to play arcade games, of any genre.

With nonsense like that you may not. The sticks vs. pads discussion has been done over and over so many times, so let's not bring it up in a thread for a mobile port where it's a complete nonissue, seeing how the choice of control here is between "touching all over the screen" and "touching the virtual controller on screen".
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

To hell with the joystick vs pad vs touchsceen/motion banter crap, id be happy just as long as the game moves smoothly and plays ok on phone.

But it works with the Xperia Play! I'm still not allowed to hide the touchscreen buttons for Shot & Force Device though.

Also Nate, have a look into LCFW, there might be one for your firmware version already. In fact, I had to update (not downgrade) in order to install it.

I apologize, I wasn't aware stick vs. pad was such a hotly debated issue here.

I'm bumping this because the game now has online leaderboards! And achievements too for those who care about that.
