This one's for you, Skykid.

Sum up

I never knew the episode Home was banned after one airing.

I did, and it's never been reinstated afaik.

I already watched it. A colossal waste if ever I saw one: the host is a complete doofus. He had an opportunity to ask questions on everyone's lips as to why the last seasons were so horrible, why the entire present panel of writers jumped ship (including Duchovny) but ends up rattling on about crap everyone already knows. Even Chris Carter was utterly despondent to his questions: "I've answered this one a million times..."

It's just bad. And the worst part is, he acknowledges that in terms of talent he has a panel of probably the greatest production line-up in TV history, and then spends an hour talking about precious little. :(

I guess Fox execs banned it from being reaired on the network, but I saw "Home" on FX in a marathon the next year. Grossed the hell out of me.

I remember recording a VHS that day that started with "Humbug," which at least had other things to stare at.

Haha. Nice.

I vaguely remember home. I was doing a study abroad in Japan. This was 1996, so if you wanted new TV, you had to have someone video tape it and mail it. You know how often that happened? Twice in 3 months. That was one of the episodes. I do remember it being a bit grotesque, and the subject matter a little cringe-worthy. Was there any one thing that got it banned?

I didn't watch the panel. I just read the sum-up. That was enough for me.
