It's easy: The accent is on the "ka", and the "ru" is short, not long.NTSC-J wrote:Yea, "eekaroogah" is right, but I think most people (including myself) say "ickaroogah". Never heard "eyekaroogah" (or "peneyecilin").
Looks familiar.ryu wrote:now if only i had the time to actually play all these right away.![]()

I usually go with Iron Maiden's "Alexander The Great". At 3:00: "king Darius the third, defeated fled Persia".ZacharyB wrote:Which one is the intended pronunciation?
Dārīus (or Dārēus) is the Latin form of the Greek Dareîos, which is a shortened form of the Old Persian Dārayavauš. The Old Persian form is also seen to have been reflected in the Elamite Da-ri-(y)a-ma-u-iš, Akkadian Da-(a-)ri-ia-(a-)muš, Aramaic dryhwš and archaizing drywhwš, and possibly the longer Greek form Dareiaîos. The translation of his name from Old Persian to English is "holding firm the good", which can be seen by the stem dāraya, meaning "hold", and the adjective vau, meaning "good".
woah, could you elaborate on that? i never heard of any gamebreaking glitches in this game.I started playing Lodoss War for the 2nd time last winter, and like a dip shit triggered the bug!
It's about halfway through, in the J-version only. There's a really long dungeon (the one where Ashra joins you). There's a Golem statue that 1) you can't inflict damage on until you destroy the 4 statues in the room. 2) Unless you've beaten the boss of the floor (or brought something with you, or something to that effect) you can't inflict damage on him even afterwards. So, if you go into the room w/o the first condition met, the 2nd condition (basically condition 1 met + destroying the statues at the same time) will never be trigger, and you can never get to the next floor.ryu wrote:woah, could you elaborate on that? i never heard of any gamebreaking glitches in this game.I started playing Lodoss War for the 2nd time last winter, and like a dip shit triggered the bug!

in Japanese, here
Just remember to have a couple of back up saves in that dungeon. I might try it again. As per before, it's good to play when you're busy as there's not a ton of thinking going on. Not compared to a shooter.
EDIT: It *might* only be in the original version, not the Dorikore version. Caveat: Dorikore version looks just like the original... but is much more common so it's like you got that one. What's the serial number on the spine? Mine is T-27903M, and is original.
Not as bad as when you actually know about the bug but fucking trigger it anyway. All I said was, "there's 15 hours I'm not getting back". Thing is, even then I had like no time. I was cutting out time of a busy schedule to relax, and wound up stressing the fuss out. It's been almost a year. Maybe I'll give it another go.i've got the original print as well. thanks for the warningthis could have ended bad!

Well there's only so much loli action that a straight man can take before going berserk.Skykid wrote:Cool, thanks for the lowdown. Good for comics instantly puts it on my tablet shortlist. I wouldn't want one for Cave games though, played them all to death now, and I've really come to appreciate the broader range of functions on Android as opposed to iOS.
