I'm out of my flippin' mind (but at least I got an Xbox360)

After a night of not only camping out in 40 degree weather and thick fog, but doing so with dragging 40 pounds of XBox stuff with me in the process, I have managed to come up with an Xbox360 on launch day. I was 45 out of 48 at the local Costco, and managed to hook up with some people who not only brought an Xbox and a 36" LCD (there were at least 6 TVs and XBoxes set up in line, including mine) but also managed to bring a 360 to the party (someone managed to get a first batch preorder at one of the local places doing a Midnight launch). along with a couple of the launch titles (Amped 3 and PDZ)... They were also considerate enough to get the new Geometry Wars loaded on before they showed up... I would advise anyone here who comes up with one of these to go grab this first thing they do when they plug the system in. Only $5, and it just may be the best game on the system at launch.

More later, when I'm not completely wiped out...

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the new Geometry Wars is the best game for some time to come. I won't know first-hand because I'm not getting a 360 right now. But do let us know what you think when you get a chance.

Hope you got the bundle with the hard drive and not the core system....

I don't know what MS was thinking (except maybe to suck more money out of buyers), but the hard drive is what made the Xbox well.......Xbox!

But then again, I hate those stupid memory cards. Nothing's worse than buying a new system only to realize you must spend another $100 on crap just so you can play the damn thing right!

I got one today.. I didnt camp out but turned up at BB at 6:45 am. Some people are hardcore I couldnt believe what I saw, tents, heaters, sleeping bags.. 65 year olds

Wow, resellers could easily make a killing. This is even crazier than the DC and PS2 releases.
