I thought the whole "bombs" in raizing games was discussed. Sure, you can use it as a screen clear, but why? It is called "Weapon", and I take that as use the things. I like to totally decimate the "Evil Empires" and the raizing games let you carpet bomb everything. NO SURVIVORS

Second, I have not heard anything about a second loop in Ibara... not denying that there is one, and if there is, GREAT!!!! I have not really heard anything about this game yet though....

There is a second loop. Once you complete stage 6, it returns to stage 1 but lists it as stage 7 (rather than 2-1). You then get to play through again at a higher difficulty.

There is a second loop only if you select "extended mode" when you start the game. There is also a "harder mode" if you want the game to be more difficult, but this is also only one loop.

Shinji Hosoe- I found this after doing a search:

I think he's also done some remixes on recent Cave soundtracks.

Correct. Thanks! Looks like he did Dragon Spirit/Saber and Metal Hawk (!!!) too, those are great soundtracks. Ibara is in good hands then.

I forgot though: thanks, Taito, i knew since 1983 that you weren't going to disappoint me

I'll take a second-rate port of this over no port at all. So thanks, Taito, in any case.

Babelfish makes the following out of this:
"Taito communicates that the Shooter Ibara of Cave to 23.02.06 in Japan is delivered."

Get ready to preorder.
Ibara and the PSP Gradius Collection are gonna amount to one heckuva great month for shooter fans in February. 8)

What's the other game listed with a 2006/2/23 release date with the 'shooter' icon?

There's Ibara, Gigawing Generations-Taito's best and...something else. No translator can make enough sense out of it for me.

According to Famitsu:

There will be an arranged mode, a practice mode (to fight bosses) and a gallery mode in this version, as well as the straight arcade mode.

So it's essentially getting the same treatment as Mushi did (Arrange Mode, Gallery Mode)... just with an additional boss practice mode.

Believe me. This game will rape you. You will be so thankful for a less brutal arrange mode, if it is like the Mushihimesamma arrange mode. It's a sure fire buy from me,as the extras have got me quite excited.

Although I can see more people playing Arrange than Arcade, as long as it brings more people into the game, then that's good. And the boss practice mode sounds like a good addition, especialy given that the Rose sisters can be a little unpredictable at times.

But give me Arcade Mode any day.

Heh, don't worry. When the PS2 version hits, Ord can split the highscore table into "Girlpants" and "Hardcore Masochist" tables ^_-

I would personally suggest just going all the way and importing a Japanese console... it's the most effective and reliable way to play Japanese software (plus they come in some really cool colours).

"Playable," I wouldn't say. But "More Accessible," definitely, and since the regular Arcade mode is still there for anyone who'd rather not bother with Arrange mode at all, methinks it's a win-win situation. Me-also-thinks that the hardcore types who dislike the concept might be well-advised to not begin complaining about how much whining all the non-hardcore types do, before the latter group has even said a darn thing. :P

Of course, all this assumes that the Arrange mode will be easier like Mushi's and not something different altogether, heh heh.
