Let's talk PC-Engine sticks

Post by kamiboy »

I hear good things about the Hori Fighting stick, but one person at least was not partial to the Fighting Stick multi, which works with several other systems as well.

Anyone here ever tried a Multi who cares to share their experience?

I've been using a XE-1 Pro since it's release. PCE gaming without just feels weird. I also have a Tototek adapter for use with a HRAP2, but it just doesn't feel right. On the XE-1 Pro I like the idea that I can keep it in my hands while playing instead of putting it down.

Here's Ian's review: http://www.pinkbullets.co.uk/blogs/mico ... -1-he-pro/

Yeah I already know about that one. That being said I've never seen a PCE XE-1 pop up on Yahoo despite being a frequent visitor.

That is usually a very bad sign as to the asking price. The two Hori sticks I mentioned are not rare nor expensive, so I am more interested in knowing about them.

It only has two buttons? That's kind of a bummer (although fine for the majority of the PCE library I guess).

Actually prefer two buttons. I want a stick for PCE shooters, I do not own or play any fighters.

The hori multi stick is a good fight stick. I put a stiffer spring in it, and it is a great shmup stick for the 3 systems. The unit comes with weights to keep it stable. Otherwise I use my hrap 2 sa with ttk converter with the pce system.
