Although in today's case, it was a phone call from my parents asking me if I had borrowed their car without asking, because when they woke up, it wasn't in their driveway. I take my kids to martial arts classes a couple times per week and there are always 2 women that park in the "no parking" section right in front of the place, waiting for their kids. So yeah, 95% of the kids and parents have to navigate around these self privileged morons. Meanwhile nobody can wait in the car and keep tabs on when it ends b/c of the fucking mini vans.

Cave's ports are always a "Would you like to save?" and a "Are you sure you don't want to save?" if you select No the first time. Saving or not saving is as easy as hitting the confirm button, or pressing cancel then confirm.

I get annoyed at myself when I realize how much I take things like just being able to play video games for granted. I imagine it's very easy to play an online game and complain about someone sucking at the game without stopping to think that they might actually be playing with a handicap...

Shmups really aren't designed with a lot of accessibility features in mind like high constrast visual settings, lots of difficulty setting tweaks, toggled autofire, autoaim options etc... Stuff that a lot of us would say kills the difficulty or game balance, but for people in need would make an otherwise difficult or impossible game to play actually playable and enjoyable.

Microsoft.

I picked up a used Surface Pro (I needed a new laptop anyway and it looked fun). The type cover that came with it had the most atrocious track pad I've ever used (impossible to scroll on) so I had to buy a mouse to go with it before going insane.

Picked up a wireless Microsoft branded one - nice size and would match well with the Surface (new Windows logo and all).
Plugging it in and...it doesn't work. Thinks it's a keyboard AND a Wacom device instead of a mouse - so you have to enter hardware properties and change the single non working Wacom device to a mouse instead - and then it works.

But if you update/remove your Wacom drivers for whatever reason you'll have to do it all over again.

And the mouse works perfect on my Win 7 work laptop Only fails on Microsoft's own computer. WTF?


And Windows 8 drives me up the walls. 8.1 is better but not good. But I don't want to install Win 7 on the Surface since I'd loose the tablet functionality which Win 8 actually does a decent job at.

You wake up in the middle of the night because of nature's call. You don't want to lose your trance state because it'd be a lot harder to fall asleep again, so you hastily take a piss, flush the toilet and jet back to your blanket. 5 minutes later the sound of running water doesn't seem to want to stop. It turns out the bowl didn't fill properly, so you have to go unfuck it. At this point you are wide awake.

Happens a lot on the trains and subways here. On peak hours it's quite nightmarish. As soon as the doors open people rush in like vultures after seats. Even if I try to stand on the side there's not much you can do with a mass of people pushing you inside.
Actually, I'm quite surprised I can only remember seeing one physical fight over this.

That lucid dreaming is unpredictable. It seems to happen when it wants to. I want it to happen EVERY NIGHT.

Sometimes I don't dream at all, and that sucks. And I hate being woken up in the middle of the night (like dude a few posts up said), which contributes to the problem.

Also, cold weather. Hate cold weather. I feel like I mention this every page tho.

Oh, and when you want to play a game, but its not one you own. The lesson: hoard like crazy, and never sell unless you have a dupe!
