How to Dimahoo?
Is it better to wait for your charge gauge (is that what it's called) to naturally level up before using it so that you don't have to charge it for long before releasing it? Or is it better to keep using it even if you have to charge it longer to get to the desired charge level?
Is it better to use a few high level charge shots (i.e. - Level 8 ) or a lot of low-level charge shots (i.e - Level 2) or a balanced mixture of both?
What is chaining in this game (Jaimers just mentioned it here)?
General tips to get a high score?
I assume that for bosses in general, you need to destroy all their individual parts to maximize the scoring potential?

Re: RQ: Dimahoo, how to score and use charge shots optimally
Disclaimer: I am not an expert
From what I remember, the main purpose of the charge shot is to release items. Different levels of charge used on different enemies will yield different items, so the key is knowing which level of charge you need to use to get a certain item.
Completing item sets increases your base multiplier I believe?
I don't know anything about chaining.

Re: RQ: Dimahoo, how to score and use charge shots optimally
Let's say an enemy drops food. When you use a lv1 charge shot to kill it, it drops lv1 food. If you use a lv2 charge, it drops lv2 food, and so on. Once you collect all food items (from lv1 to lv8), you complete a set and you get a +1 to your multiplier.
So, to score high, you need to complete as many sets as possible. Ideally you want to complete all normal sets before you reach the chests on stage 4.
But how do you know who drops what? You don't, you're supposed to figure it out by yourself. My ongoing drops list thread helps things a bit on that regard, but it's still a huge pain in the ass to keep track of which items you collected so far and where to get the remaining ones.
And then you have the special items, which are worth a lot and you should definitely go for them, but they all have some silly requisites to get. From killing something with an empty bomb gauge to killing it with 4 bombs in stock and with a specific level of charge. Sometimes even the color of the charge matters.
And if it wasn't hard enough to complete sets, rank goes up each time you complete one.
That's how you Dimahoo. You can cry now.
