looking for old shmup

Hello shmupers !
I'm looking for an old shmup [vertical shooter] that i had when i was a little kid.
The game was a spaceship that flying in space to save the world.
The game was basicly to fly and shoot everything that come's , sometimes was powerups that came and it was changing the colors every some seconds , each color was diffrent shooting style like raiden , But the spaceship was changing it color when its take the power up , the powerup includes red green and blue colors of shooting style , when you take the same color each time its get stronger
just like raiden , i think the red power up was the main weapon as cannon that shoot red things like in raiden .

When I was starting the game there was something that i need to paint it was very wierd becuse it has nothing to do with the game. :/
I found today a game that start the same with that cat and then spaceship that i paint , and in the game the spaceship change to the color of the power up that it takes , but the shooting style is not what i remember and the bosses not the same , but its very similiar to what i looking for .

The cat painting thing makes it sound like a game by Zoom (especially their x68000 games) but I am unaware of any vertical shmup by them.

This is way too generic and applies to tons of shmups out there.

We need way, way more detailed information when you're looking for a game. Be as specific as possible - is this for the arcade? For a console (Sega Genesis, SNES, etc)? For PC (if so what operating system)? What year do you remember playing it? Do you remember how many buttons it used, anything about the first stages you remember, what weapons do you remember (were there distinctive lasers, lightning attacks, etc)?

The only games that come to mind where shot type changes your actual ship colour on the fly are Truxton/Tatsujin, Truxton 2/Tatsujin Oh, and Mushihimesama (your glow colour changes slightly).

This game was for pc with ms dos , I remember that i had it from 1993-4 to 1996 .
I think the game had only 1 or 2 buttons for the shooting and for the bombs , toughe im not sure that was bombs .
The attack styles I remember was red power up the shooting style that starting with like in raiden and in alot more games , I remember that was 3 styles of shooting toughe I remember only the colors of the powerups i'm not sure if it was red green and blue or red blue and yellow .
The graphics of this game is maybe like cho ren sha 68k same style I believe .
I remember the first boss was white and big and had 2 hands that trying to kill me , he was very easy to kill btw .
The game had maybe 15 levels only and when I finished the game was cinematic of the ship that saved the universe something like that
very similiar to tons of other shmups ^^
Anyways sir I wish that you will recognize this shmup
