I like the Vita's form factor. I would take it out of any case before playing it. I use
this. It's sufficient if any sharp object tries to poke the screen, but obviously not a very good idea if you're going to throw the Vita in a bag full of knives since one is bound to get in through the sides eventually. After a lot of use the plastic flaps that's supposed to clip the case to the Vita is starting to give up though, but that's to be expected. I'm satisfied with it, but I will probably replace it with something else. What I'll get sort of depends on how the Vita 2000 turns out.
Waiting for Sine Mora to hit PS+ paid off, it's October's Vita game. Also Hotline Miami and no (!) PSP games. Hopefully we'll be getting two native Vita titles each month for US PS+ now too like EU always had.
PS3 users gets Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (for free I might at the very least try this), Shadow of the Colossus (saw that one coming, obviously great) and Poker Night 2 (Telltale Games).
If you own both PS3 and a PSV, PS+ is simply a fantastic rental service for 50$ a year (you can usually get a 1 year subscription for 40$). That's not factoring in the discounts. Which you actually have to be wary of since discounted games often end up being the same games that end up in the instant game collection (what they call the games available on their rental service). I can't stress enough that everyone who owns both a PS3 and a PSV *must* subscribe to PS+.
Oh and it's looking very likely Mighty No. 9 will be getting a Vita release. It's their 3,500,000 stretch goal. They're already at 2,800,000 with 3 days left and most contributions are usually made at the start days and final days of the campaign. It sounds likely Sony will try to make it happen even if they fail the stretch goal.
Also got that awful PSP tearing bug again. This time I had to restart the device. Surprisingly I only have 25 hours of playtime in Wipeout 2048. This must be remedied, but I only have left to elite pass one time trial and the A+ challenges then it's only multiplayer and leaderboard competition, but I'm not sure leaderboards were reset after the Feisar prototype glitch was fixed.
But seriously, the OLED on this thing is tops. I didn't wanna risk the new model having some cheapshit LCD, so I bit the bullet
I wouldn't recommend anyone else do this btw, there are some pretty good LCDs available so I would at least wait for the Vita 2000 before deciding which revision you prefer, I doubt you'll have a problem buying OLED Vitas for a few months after the 2000 release.
I've heard quite a few people feel they need to hurry and buy a OLED Vita, it's not going to disappear overnight.
