How well traveled are your games?

Post by Vexorg »

An interesting thought occurred to me while in the process of getting a shipment ready to go out for a trade with another forum member here... One of the items being traded is a copy of MUSHA for Genesis. I originally bought this from a forum member (don't remember exactly who, hard to keep PMs for too long without filling up the box) about six months ago from the UK. When I ship it out again, it will be going to Sweden. Since this is the US version, this will be at least the third time this particular cartridge has crossed the Atlantic (since it had to have gotten there from the US somehow the first time.) It's hard to keep track of this type of stuff, but does anyone else here have any games that have done a lot of traveling?

Shmup chain letters/games?

How about this... All PCBs originate from BIG :p

I don't think I've sold anything that I bought from a shmups forum member yet, at least not back to shmups members.

I did sold a Metal Slug 3 that cross the Pacific three times.

The first buyer return it to me for not own a PS2 which could play import. And the second buyer happened to be also live accross the Pacific.

So the game did make across the Pacific three times.

I think many of the games we bought online got miles enough to exchange for air tickets to fly around the world.

I bought my Saturn Street Fighter Zero 3 boxset in Japan, took it home with me to Holland, and later traded it with somebody from Virginia. Later I bought it back :-)
...and suddenly, a very freaky wormhole opened, and 4 3-foot tall market analysts fell out...

Well my Dragon Blaze PCB was owned by Rob, then Venom, now me. So it's presumably been to Japan, Alaska and now California. (not sure where Venom lives) It's more well traveled than I am.

My supergun and Batrider PCB were previously Canadian, coming from Mode7.

My copy of R-Types looks like it survived a war in the desert. I bought it cheap to see how I would like it.

I want to know: who treats their games like that? I don't scratch my game discs. Period. Obviously people are different.
