Please share the title of the most beautiful shmup you ever played! And maybe a word or two about what it means to you. I'll start:

I've heard that this forum is not particularly friendly towards the Touhou series, but I believe you shouldn't underestimate PoFV. Now I know you may be thinking, "Why play a glacially paced shmup like PoFV seriously when I am learning TSS?" I can see why you would think that, how can a peaceful shmup like PoFV beat a powerful one like TSS?

Well, I have a story to share with you.

Years ago, I was a "collector", I thought I was the toughest kid in the arcade, I would 1v1 people in TSS and kick ass. I was full of hate, until I picked a fight with the wrong dude. He was a Japanese exchange student, I still remember his name, Noboru Takeda.

I picked on him because of his hilarious and thick Japanese accent. I told him I was going to beat him so hard, he would go back to China(Yeah, I was a little racist prick.), he never said anything back, made me wanted to kick his ass even harder.

Well, here comes the fight. I perfected wave after wave, he dodged my attacks like I was a mere shitposter. I was tiring out and he knew, I saw the smirk on his face that made me raged hard. I put all my strength in one last wave, and he summoned a boss attack. My hitbox smacked on the hard bullets, as did my pride, and I fainted for who knows how long.

When I woke up I was in my bed, I asked my mom who brought me here, and you guessed it, Noboru Takeda. The next day, he wasn't at the arcade, he was back in Japan, and I never got to thank him, for saving my life and showing me the light. I soon learned that he was a member of the "Touhou is Harder" crew and have been practicing PoFV ever since to show my thanks to him.

I have defeated countless opponents using my Touhou skills, and they always ask me, Why are you so strong?

I answer, I'm not strong, you are.

PoFV uses the strength of the attacker back at them but 10 times stronger(estimate). Using PoFV and I can probably defeat rain reflecting it's droplets right back at it, of course, I'm not going to try it, way to dangerous for any sane person.

I recommend practicing PoFV for every shmup enthusiast, as you all appreciate little girls, and PoFV is specialized for people who want to make little girls beat each other up.

The most beautiful shmup in my eyes is probably PCB. as in, Touhou 7. Runs of that game have elegance like no other game could even hope to have. 10/10 wud watch again
