Mushihime-sama has no audio on my PS2!

I've been playing Mushihimesama on MAME, and decided to buy it for the PS2, 360 ver. in the future. My american PS2 fat, from the ATV Offroad fury 2 bundle (2004ish), has a Thunder modship. So, I downloaded the game to play it while my copy doesn't arrive from Japan. Burn it on a Sony DVD+R, and, no sound.

Tried to do it with different programs, burning speeds, to no sucess. Now I'm worried that my copy, when it arrives, may also have no sound.

Is it something I'm doing which is causing the problem? All the ISOs (the 128Mb ones to 1.12GB uncompressed) I used worked on PCSX2.
Please help, I really don't want to have to sell the game .

Are you using the optical out as your audio hookup? Mushihimesama doesn't support digital audio output for some dumb reason. Try it with the red & white tails from the AV cable and see if it works.

More negative points on the PS2 port. Nowdays if I wanted a PS2 again I would run the system digital out to my DAC for better sound (or that is what I wanted to believe in the first place that is).

Well, in the PS2 port's defense, even having analogue stereo audio is a step above the PCB.
