Re: Good plastic
Great question. I'm assuming you want to cover holes and whatnot? if it's a large hole, I'd probably take a trip to my local thrift store (or garbage can, for that matter) and find something with plastic paneling you can snip from to fill most of the hole. I'd then use a robust filler like "JB Weld" to fill the remaining cracks. Would require sanding after it sets, but if you are painting over, it shouldn't matter.

I would classify it as medium sized so JB Weld is a good plastic to use?undamned wrote:Great question. I am likely to repaint it in all of it, I am trying to give it a modenr look mostly and keep the wireless controller things hidden.

Re: Good plastic
JP Weld is a 2 part epoxy that you mix and then apply to whatever you are trying to "weld." I've used it on various fixes with great results. With anything like this, you definitely want to experiment on something you don't care about (scrap of plastic, cardboard, etc.) first. After you get a feel for what this stuff is like when soft, what it becomes when it's fully cured, and are pleased with the potential, I'd recommend putting a layer of tape on either the inside of the hole or the outside, and then filling it with the epoxy. After it's fully cured, you then begin the painstaking process of smoothing it out (sanding/scraping/etc.) and blending it with the level of the surrounding plastic.EmperorZelos wrote:I would classify it as medium sized so JB Weld is a good plastic to use?

Works great for just filling in holes or what not. Its strong enough for use in space! Its not really flexible like a rubber band or something. For what the OP said in the original post it sounded perfect.undamned wrote:JP Weld is a 2 part epoxy that you mix and then apply to whatever you are trying to "weld."
