What do people think about having a shmup of the week for these meets? We could all vote on the game at Loading, practice it during the week, then trade tips and tricks / show off our mad skills at the next meet. Yea or nay?
I'd be up for this. Maybe limit it to one stage, that way we wouldn't be watching for too long between goes.

My vote for the first is Kestui stage 3.

I generally can't make it Wednesdays and this week is no exception, shmup of the week sounds good though.

Shmup of the week sounds great. Caladrius stage 6? Joke! Shall we pick our first level at this week's meet!?

Let's try and avoid Wednesday's where possible so Theo can join us!

Weekly Casino Crew Meet #7

Date: Wednesday 30th October
Start Time: 6:30 PM
Venue: Loading Bar, 53 Rupert Street, Soho (inside MADD)
Website: http://loadingonline.co.uk/
Nearest Tube Station: Piccadilly Circus

Apologies to Skykid, CHI and dan76 for the mix-up last week: I owe you guys a drink, so if you can make it this time don't be shy about asking for one!
Having a shmup stage of the week seems to be a popular idea, so we can vote on the first one of those this Wednesday at Loading as well.

Monthly Casino Crew Mega Meet #1

Date: Saturday 2nd November
Start Time: 7:00 PM
Venue: Hzt's cool Camden pad (PM me for the address)
Website: So exclusive, it doesn't even have a web presence
Nearest Tube Station: Camden Road

Since some of the Casino Crew can't make it down during the week, I thought it'd be good to have a Mega Meet once a month, so that the whole gang can get together.
Hzt is kindly hosting the first one, which will be Halloween themed with Shmup action on a projector, House of the Dead and Darkstalkers on TVs, pizza, cake and much more!
All you need to bring is yourself and £5 to cover pizza. See you there!

^ All good for both those dates!

OK to bring Mrs spadgy on the 2nd? She'll love a bit of HotD.

I'd like to see, in the spirit of Halloween, our host hzt dress as a Deatsmiles character. Any chance of that?

Mrs spadgy is welcome to come along, but please don't give hzt terrible Halloween costume ideas!

I'd like to see him just body paint on a costume over his otherwise nude body.

On to tonight…

I'm going straight from home to the meet, so could bring my JPN 360 and stick.

But what games? I'll bring a couple of Cavies, but for the mix, maybe Shooting Love 200X (shmups skill test might be fun), Eschatos, and as it's been literally years since I played, maybe Raiden IV (and a second stick for a double play challenge?).

Also, all the PS3's there are slims, right? Do they have PS2 backwards compatibility? Because I've tonnes of PS2 shmups I could bring (see to my collection in my sig).

Any games you want to bring? I'd love some more Mushi HD on Ultra mode action...

Chaps - I'm afraid with my 360 VGA cable screwed and my inability to find the right SCART connection adapter for my RGB cable, I can't face untangling and lugging it all there, just to deal with that laggy lo-res crap we had last time. So I'll bring sticks and plenty of PAL shmups, but no JPN 360 I'm afraid. Sorry!

There'll be plenty more next times (next Thursday for one)!

A wicked night tonight at LoadingCafe with CHI, JDE, dan76, Skykid, Georgekid and The Blinge trio (sorry guys, I totally forget your forum name and I don't even think I ever learned your other mates name. I'm terrible! )

A shame not to have Rupert H, hzt and MX7 with us, but still a nice percentage of the London shmup crowd in one place.

And I can't wait for Saturday - be nice to actually sit down and properly session a game together, and perhaps that will be in the form of the exclusive demo premier of dan76 and JDE's shmup! I also look forward to fitting in some 1:1 scale House of the Dead on the wall (Wii version = works on a projector; we hope).

And hzt dressed as a fuck pillow sheet-over-the-head-ghost mash-up.

Ah - so we can just call James by his real name here (obviously I'd never forget his real name… maybe…).

So, how did Pork continue to treat the Blinge Trio (sound like a 60s beat group)

Yeah - wicked times on Saturday - thanks so much hzt (and JDE for organising!). Lovely to see you all!

This weeks Weekly Meet I may not make. Mother Spadgy may need some attention, and I have to be a good son as I've not seen her for ages!

Or I may still make it!

As for the next Monthly Mega Meet, I'd gladly host, if my pokey flat weren't too small for you mob.

And amazing work on BB dan76 and JDE. Lovely bullet patterns, lovely style (I adored the title screen) and a really immediate scoring system, that clearly worked in the context of us having a scoring contest. Really impressed!

I'm not there tonight either, I'm afraid. But I'll definitely be there next week Skykid, just for a last kiss and cuddle before you jet off.
